Sounds delicious. I would consider incorporating a green vegetable though.

@antonina:  +1. or even a green salad, as well as a veggie.

As long as this is a very casual wedding, I think this sounds great!!!! I chose food that was eaten with utensils, so that cut ribs from my menu, but I totally love ribs. And I was really sad that since we are doing our dinner at a different location than where the food is cooked, so we couldn’t get anything fried – because fried chicken is one of my favorites!

@leecy87:  agreed with the green veggies and salad. Otherwise the menu could be too heavy. Yay for SC! That’s where I’m going for my honeymoon!

Mmmm sounds delish! But I agree that maybe a side salad would really top things off. 🙂

It’s not ghetto.  But this is for a casual/outdoor/backyard wedding… I don’t picture a formal wedding when I think of a BBQ menu.

It does however, sound delicious!  I would definitely need some veggies in there, though!

@leecy87:  what?? By whom? I think it sounds awesome and like awesome comfort food! I think adding green beans or a salad would be good, but the menu sounds amazing and I’d be in heaven if I was a guest!

Mmmm I would love to be at a wedding with that menu! I’m kind of a picky eater and hate your typical fancy wedding food, this sounds delicious! I certainly wouldn’t call it ghetto – maybe if you were just having the country fried chicken, but adding in the pulled pork, ribs, mashed sweet potatoes…oh man, now I’m hungry!

ETA: I do have to agree with the bees who suggested adding a veggie of some kind though – corn on the cob? A salad? Something like that would balance it out nicely.

Love the menu. It’s definitely casual though – I’m not sure I’d want to eat ribs while wearing a fancy dress.

I’m vegetarian but I do think your menu looks nice for people who enjoy eating meat. It always makes me laugh though when I see mac and  cheese serve at a wedding meal. I know there’s nothing wrong with mac and cheese but its just I never thought it would be something served at at a wedding.

But I do agree there should be some type of salad available with your menu.

At a wedding in the south, that sounds pretty great – and honestly, if your guests are southern, they all know mac and cheese is a vegetable 😉

I would personally throw in some additional veggies, like collard greens or green beans, but for just one meal I could live without. It all sounds delicious.
