So I met with a photographer who includes way more in his package for the price than others do. My sense is he is not as far along in his career as some of the other photogs we have looked at, although he’s been a photographer for 14 years, he said he’s only recently switched to just weddings – last couple years or so. Which I know is one way to save money – find newer talent. His website doesn’t have the impact that some of the others do, but looking closer at his facebook photos, I feel he may have the talent and creativity to produce really good work for us. But then again, Im no photography expert. What do you think of his work?

I would DEFINITELY need to see more photos. Why does he have so few wedding ones? Honestly, for the number he has there, and for all we know, he bought them off BIG stock photo and just put them on his FB.

they are ok, kind of traditional. it would depend on the price for me.

It really depends on your budget and what you like. Would you pay a bit extra for high quality artsy photographs? Would you pay less for a traditional feel? Even then, photography is a hobby of mine and from the looks of his photography, the camera he may be using may be a beginner’s camera. Here are two of my favorite photographers. Good luck!! Remember photographs last a life time. You may have the memory of your wedding but the photographs will refresh your memory with grand feelings.

They usually start at $3,400-$4,500

There are some good shots in his portfolio. It looks like he’s done more studio work, so some of the action shots aren’t amazing. But, he’s good and if you’re on any kind of a budget it seems like he’d be a good choice. Melybee posted amazing photographers but I know they wouldn’t be in my budget.

They seem like nice pictures. There are definitely better ones and undoubtedly worse. If he fits within your budget, and allows you to spend more on a different aspect that is really important to you then I saw go for it! If his prices are pretty comparable then I would take a look at a few other photographers.

Again, depends on the budget. But I saw at least 3 solid wedding albums on there that prove technical knowhow and some pretty creative compositions. If he’s giving you a deal in the $1000-$1500 for at least 8 hrs I’d say that’s a win!!
