I am super annoying today and I apologize…but I need opinions haha 😀
My last post regarding the AGORA dress had a ton of responses that I should buy it…but then I realized that it was not going to be under $200…which is my budget for my reception dress. I’m not even 100% sure if i’ll wear the reception dress…so I don’t want to go crazy expensive.
I found this dress on preownedweddingdresses.com…it’s “never been worn” apparently and they are asking $175.00…I feel like I can get her down to $125 maybe…This is pretty much spot on with what i’m looking for. (Tea length, vintagey, lace, sleeves, cheap, ivory…) It even has buttons down the back which I love. It seems it will be about 2 inches too big but i’m sure it could be easily altered.
What do you think? Should I go for it?

I think it’s beautiful!! GO FOR IT (only if you’re for sure going to wear it, though! )
Reception dresses aren’t common at all in my area (I’ve never seen someone change between the ceremony & reception), but I wish they were as trying to get down and boogie in my wedding dress wasn’t easy!

@MadTownGirl: I think i’ll wear it…but even if I don’t I’ll probably hang on to it for a vow renewal in the future. I have worn gowns that were super constraining as a dancer./performer and even 5 minutes of dancing in those dresses was painful and awkward (all that poof, boning and tightness!) I cant imagine doing it for 8-9 hours!

@bretonvirgniia: Sure, why not? It’s really cute and it’s within budget, so go for it. Like you said, if you don’t wear it for the reception, you can wear it for some future event.

If your not 100% you will wear it why buy it? Save that money for spending money during a honeymoon if taking one or a nice dinner out for you and your SO right before the wedding, or take that money and buy each mother a really nice gift maybe a lenox vase as a extra special gift right before the wedding, or buy some extra prints from your photographer like 8×10’s to give as gifts. Money is money why waste it or a maybe wear?
