I love solitaires, they are so clean and classic.  Pick a style that you will be happy with.  Don’t worry about what other people think.

Round Brilliant solitaires always make me think of Audrey Hepburn, so I have to say I think it’s lovely.

I love solitaires, but there are A LOT to choose from.  I don’t care for the high setting on this one.  I think you could get something a little lower that would be more comfortable.

I think the simple solitaire is nice but I agree with PPs that you may want to get a higher clarity and look for a setting where the diamond isn’t quite so high.  I don’t like the setting in that there’s a huge space underneath the diamond.

I like halos with bling, so I’m the wrong person to ask. All that matters is that YOU love it!

The only person who has to love it is you and your fiance! I think it’s a beautiful and classic ring!

I like it! It won’t ever go out of style! In full disclosure, I wear a solitaire myself and absolutely love the look of it.

@LadyBlackheart:  I’m on the same page as Mrs Canuck, and recommend that you check out Blue Nile or James Allen. You will get MUCH better quality in clarity and color. What’s really cool is that James Allen lets you see actual 3-D images of their diamonds! While playing around, I found this lovely diamond that is G in color, excellent cut, and internally flawless! With a simple solitaire setting from them, I think the grand total is $780. Here’s the link to that gorgeous diamond:

and here’s another beauty. It’s a bit cheaper, but super stunning!

Good luck with your ring search!

I think it is beautiful but I also have a solitaire. I looked at a lot of different rings while waiting and often thought that maybe I wanted something more intricate…but when I looked at a simple solitaire again I knew it was the one for me. Plus, if you want more bling then you can add a blingy wedding ring and you still have 9 other fingers for rings.

I will say though that the comments will probably be more along the lines of “oh, pretty” rather than “that is so unique”. I feel like I can never comment on the “what is the most common reaction to your ring” threads because no one really notices it or makes remarks about it. Just letting you know since you are thinking about what people’s reactions will be now.

@LadyBlackheart:  you will be the only one wearing it; so you are the only one who needs to like it.

It’s very pretty. All that matters is that YOU love it. You should not care what anyone else has to say about it.

I think its beautiful!  I love simple rings.  🙂 And if you decide that its a bit plain, you can jazz it up with a band or a wrap/enhancer!
