Since we’re doing hors d’oevures instead of an actual meal, I’ve been on the lookout for cute trays that fit our vintage theme so we don’t have to stick with the plain black ones the caterer has offered to provide.
I still need to run this by FH, but this tray is so, so cute! And if we do sheet cakes instead of a full tiered one, we could use some of the money we’d be saving on nice trays for the food (which could later be repurposed into storage places for keys, etc. in our home–after a good scrubbing, of course).
My only issue is that they’re painted–would they be safe to eat from? What do you think of this tray?
EDIT: If not for serving food, I’m sure they’d look nice on, say, our guestbook or cake table with some candles, too. 🙂

Pretty! Many painted surfaces are considered safe to eat off of. However, email or call the company to find out for sure. If it isn’t safe, then it would be great for the other ideas you have.

I just sent a message to their customer service thing…can’t wait to hear back. 🙂 Knowing my luck, though, FH will look at it and go “Seriously?” Lol. Hopefully, I can convince him–it is so pretty.

Very pretty! Did you think about going to thrift stores to try to find some vintage looking trays? Could save you some money… which might help your fi come on board with the idea!

I think that’s so pretty…very unique. It goes with the “vintage” theme for sure!

It’s cute, but its doesn’t seem very big width wise to hold much food. I feel like you’d need a lot of them. But I could see you using them for decor.

THESE ARE GORGEOUS! I think (if the surface is safe for food) you could definitely line up hors d’oeuvres on them — very classy looking.
I am seriously considering getting one for the top of my dresser…
