I just use toothpaste and a tooth brush.

I use a coffee mug and fill it with few drops of dawn, then 1/2 way with water.  I think put the cup in the microwave for 1 1/2 mins. Then i drop my ring in and let it sit for a good 20-30 min.  After that i use my baby toothbrush to get under the prongs etc.

After that i fire up my jewel jet and steam that baby up!  Jewel jet is the best invention ever….comes out looking brandy new!

I use warm water with baking soda. Drop the ring in, wait about a minute then dip a very soft head toothbrush into the solution and lightly pass it over the ring on all sides. Rinse with water, let air dry.

My mom uses dishwashing soap instead.

sunshine2016:  its a personal jewelry steamer.  The red one is the original version that gets awesome reviews.  They come up from time to time on ebay and i got mine for a steal at 40 dollars shipped.  They do have a newer version but it does not get great reviews.  You can search red jewel jet on ebay.  http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=Jewel+Jet&_osacat=0&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1311.R1.TR4.TRC0.A0.H0&_nkw=jewel+jet+steam+cleaner&_sacat=0&_from=R40

I use a soft toothbrush and dish soap. Or some non-ammonia surface cleaner, pat dry, and rub with one of those microfiber cleaning cloths you get with your glasses.

Beautyandthebusiness:  I have a gemstone ring in Palladium and when I checked with dawn dishsoap and warm water was always the recommended way to clean my ring. I am heading to the store asap to get a baby’s toothbrush too!!

Whenever I do the dishes (2-4 times a day), I just get one of those smaller sauce dishes and put in some dawn and SUPER hot water. I foam up the water a little and drop my ring in. By the time I’m done with dishes, the water has cooled off and I can rinse it off. Sometimes I air dry, other times, I dab down with a dish towel. I also wash my hands with my ring on, and wipe down the diamond and setting and towel dry. I haven’t really had to do anything else but my setting is pretty simple, no extra designs, no baskets.

To get it extra sparkly, I soak it in ammonia or white vinegar. Dawn dish soap and a soft toothbrush work well for regular cleaning.
