I wear both everyday and they are not soldered together. 🙂

Engagement Ring and band are soldered together, so I have no choice but to wear them together.  Since the band is shaped around the e-ring (they’re a set), it would look kind of silly to wear it alone and I wouldn’t just wear my e-ring without the band.

With that said, it just made sense to solder them together.  Didn’t want the two rings rubbing against each other, ruining the plating and possibly losing the diamonds in the micro-pave.

I also have my rings soldered together, so it’s both or nothing.

I do like it now. The damage that the band was doing to my ering was really bad, so it was either solder them or never wear them together.

My band is slightly larger in size then my ering, so I don’t deal with having two rings feeling too tight or being hard to take on or off.

I have been wearing my wedding band alone everyday since we got married three weeks ago. I haven’t worn my engagement ring, because after the wedding I found out that they are really uncomfortable worn together for long periods of time. After a couple hours I want to rip my finger off.

I wear both, they are a set so they belong together.

Not married yet, but I plan on having them soldered while we’re on our honeymoon so we don’t lose it.

Don’t mean to threadjack, but I have a question: do you EVER take off your ring(s)? Do you take them off before bed or keep it on all day long, even when doing dishes or showering, etc.?

I am engaged so I wear just my e-ring. Once I am married I doubt I will ever take off my rings.

I wear both, but I usually take them off when I get home.  I don’t usually wear them to the gym either, unless I go right after work and don’t want to leave them in the car or locker.

I only have my engagement ring but I only take it off if I’m cooking something gooey like bread or pulling the meat of a cooked chicken. Other than that it’s on my finger.  I shower, sleep, and do yoga in it. I fully plan to wear both of my rings once married.

@fzesguer:  I take mine off when I do dishes and when I shower. I have a cute little ring dish that sits by my sink for that purpose. 🙂

@trafficnthesky:  My new wedding band is I believe around 3mm thick.  The ring I wear as my e-ring is not the ring Darling Husband proposed with and that one is probably 2.5mm so if I wear them both together, it’s too much for me.  I took the diamond out of my original e-ring and had it put in a pendant and I wear that every day.

@fzesguer:  I take my rings off all the time.  Part of it is for my job as sometimes I work in a clean room and we cannot wear any jewelry while working in there.  I also do not wear my ring to the gym for fear of damaging it.  I also don’t wear it to shower or sleep.  I like my rings to stay pretty.
