Sorels – they get the job done.

I have Sorels as well (one of the “Tivoli” style or Carnival I think?). They’re pretty clunky but they are definitely warm, comfy, and will keep your feet dry.

cloverdemeter :  I have a pair of tall leather waterproof Sorels that are sooooo cute and warm and good in the snow. Check out their website for sure. They’re mostly pricey (like $200) but totally bombproof. Mine were on sale through REI when I got them, so you might search around for Christmas sales.

I wear hunters and prefer them to sorels.

I love my Kanada Mukluks, but I also have a pair of fuzzy leopard pom-pom boots from VS. I winterized both with Tarrago Nano Protector. The Tarrago is insane. My suede and fuzzy boots never get wet, you can pour water directly on them and it runs right off. It’s like really good rain-x, but for shoes.

I bought some North Face boots last winter when my husband and I went to Quebec. I wore them all day walking around the city and they worked out great.

Sorel for sure! I love them for New England weather and I adore the new styles! Also, I love my insulated boggs they are so soft inside and easy to slip on/off when shoveling or taking a quick walk to get the mail.

cloverdemeter :  I alternate between Boggs rubber boots and sorels. There’s tons of different styles of both to pick from. I’m a pink girl and got pink Sorels, I love them, but would like a brown pair as well.

For reference I’m in Canada, so we definitely need boots here!

I recommend Sorel too. I got them in kids size from Amazon. Super cute. Within your budget and they look and feel better than my Hunters.

Sorel girl here as well. They’re the best for keeping warm and good traction in snow and ice. I wear them in long walks in the snow and love them.

Uggs non-snowing days and hunters for rainier, warmer days and muddy days when the snow is melting.

I haven’t tried the bean boots either but love my tall waterproof uggs and khombu mid height lace ups as well as insulated waterproof Ariat tall boots for riding and my tall BOGS

i would also recommend Sorel,Columbia,Northface and Kamik brands for boots

Purchased these boots from DSW and just put them to the test with the first snowfall of the season.  LOVE THEM!  Very comfortable, warm and kept me dry.  Price is reasonable as well.
