Yes I agree to the fitness commitment. It is easier to stay fit than to get fit later in life.

Had a back up plan regarding college.  I would have my four year degree if I didn’t freak out after two years of going for elementary education knowing there are no jobs out there.

I regret going straight to university right after high school. I ended up dropping out anyway, but I wish I would’ve just saved myself some time and money and travelled a bit first.

1. Not gotten married the first time (ditto LOL)

2. Attend that one semseter abroad in Holland when in school.  I didn’t know how I was going to stop working for 4 months and pay for that.  I should have made it happen.

3. I wish I could erase some of those guys I slept with.

Omg sooo many things – dumped my ex immediately, walked around in a bikini whenever possible, and most importantly finished college.

i worked really hard and partied really hard in my twenties.  I would do it all again.  The one thing I would change is my travels.  I wish I had taken a summer and just traveled the world, or studied abroad in college.  I just didn’t have the money.  Now, in my early thirties, I’m traveling a lot, trying to catch up!  But of course, that puts off things like weddings, children, etc.  So I guess I would have done it earlier if I could have afforded to.  I would just say just enjoy your twenties – you have the benefit of being old enough to make decisions and young enough to make mistakes.  🙂

Add me to the “not gotten married the first time” bandwagon!

Also on my list: I wish I had not wasted my great grandmother’s inheritance on a house I wasn’t ready to own, I wish I had gone into my preferred graduate field instead of settling (because I was getting married), and not racked up so much credit card debt under the assumption that I was going to be a big shot lawyer and shouldn’t worry about money when I’m young.  WRONG!!!

ETA: And I wish I had traveled more.  Outside of the US.  To non-1st world countries.

1) Not been afraid to speak up and end a relationship that wasn’t working. It worked out in the end, but not without going horribly wrong first.

2) Made a career plan and stuck with it.

3) Understood the critical importance of getting out from under credit card debt (and mine was never excessive, it was just always there). I wish I had had savings.

4) Retirement. No joke, Fiance is all about this – putting as much away as early as possible.

If you go to college and need to use student loans because a) you didn’t get scholarships, b) no one else is poppping for it, try to hold a job while going to school so that you can take out as few student loans as possible.  You may have some debt in the end, but working while in school to pay for living expenses allowed me to graduate with a relatively small debt.  I just paid them all off and I am debt free.

My sister on the other hand took out the maximum, decided not to work, bought a brand new car, etc.  She made a big hole for herself.

Picked a college major that actually had a decent employment outlook instead of “doing what I loved.”

I am in my early 20’s … but if I had to change anything at all it would be my choice of school. I would have gone to film school or a conservatory for a more intense program. Or studied dance as my major.

I honestly don’t think I have made any major regrets over the past 3 years, I’ll check back when I’m 30 and hope the outcome is still the same! 😉
