I am guessing that the “H” is for husband? But what about the “D” ??

You’ll also see…
SO – significant other
Fiance – fiance
Dirty Delete or DS – dear daughter / dear son
Mother-In-Law, Father-In-Law, SIL, BIL – mother in law, father in law, sister in law, brother in law
and add and F to the begining of any of these for Future.
Sorry if you already know all of those already, but I know it took me a while to catch on and it’s nice to see a list ๐
Oh thank you!! I knew some of them by just figuring it out.. but it now makes more sense.. thanks a lot @rnc620
I didnt know what Darling Husband was either! Oh and FH is future husband I think!!
no problem… I think in jest sometimes people say Darling Husband means d&@# or darn husband too.
LOL…that was one I couldn’t figure out. I was like, “Distant Husband”? LOL
Here is a link to Penguin’s post about a bunch of online abbreviations used here.
Darling Husband
For the longest time I thought it was “Da Husband”! I don’t know why… it just seemed to make sense in my head!

This is awful, but for the longest time after I joined this website and was engaged every time I saw people talking about Save-The-Date Cards, I would cringe because it sounded like sexually transmitted diseases. I mean, I know what Save-The-Date Cards meant, but I always got a laugh over this!
I used Fiance as Fiance, too, but someone told me on a recent post that it also stood for “Future Intended”. I like fiance so much better! & that’s how I still read it ๐
@Lees – I thought it meant Fiance too! I like fiance, I’m keeping it my way too ๐
