I’m feeling philosophical tonight. What does it feel like to you to be in love? What do you feel when you think of your SO? What’s different about how you feel in this relationship vs. any other? How do you know it’s that pure, selfless, honest kind of love…..that it’s the real thing? Interpret it any way you want.

I have been told that loving someone is to place their needs and wants as important as your own, being is love is put them above. It’s normal to be in love in the beginning, but truely loving someone as an equal is the best kind of love.

theatrejulia: this is pretty much exactly what it is. it goes for all things you love – pets, children, friends, family, significant other.

He makes me a better person. I like who I am when I’m with him.

This is the first time I’ve been in love, and whenever I have to describe it I say that it’s like a slow rolling and growing thing. I was surprised that I wasn’t struck by a bolt of enlightenment and love (I expected it to be extreme and sudden like in the books or movies). It’s the really happy feelings you get from thinking about your SO and caring very deeply about their wellbeing/happiness (yeah, above your own).
Everyone’s definitions of love will be different though so this should be interesting

I trust him, with everything and in every way.
I feel beautiful even when im at my worst when I’m with him.
I want to make his life special, even with the tiny moments. I think of him with everything in mind. He is someone I want to build a life with and live life with.
He is someone I can be comfortable with. I don’t need to fill a quiet moment with mundane talk. We can be silent together and it’s not awkward.
To me that’s being in love. Being me, with someone I can completely trust, someone I can be myself with and who I want to partake in all of life’s finest moments with.
Oh..and I still get butterflies over..lol. After 4 years and living together for 3 when he is in my sight I still get butterflies. Never had them last this long before..haha.

When you see each other at your best and at your worst and still can’t stand to see a life without each other. Through all the arguments and annoying habits you both have still being the only one each other wants to share a bed with at the end of the dsy

ClassicStarlight: I have 3 loves and only one of them is with my fiance. When I met my fiance I fell in love with him. When we got our dog. I fell in love with him also. Almost a year ago we had our son and guess what happened than? I fell in love with him as well. I fell in love 3 times in my entire lifetime. Being in love is the best feeling in the whole world. It makes you smile even on your bad days. Being in love brings you so much happiness but it could also bring you so much pain. It is really hard to describe love because its more of a feeling. Love is the best feeling in the whole entire world. I hope everyone find it someday.

On a serious note, I can’t imagine life without him. I want the best for him. I talk to him like I would to my best friend – I sometimes have to stop myself from being Too Much Information and souring a bit of mystery. Sometimes he irritates me so much though, but I am constantly reminded of how much I love how he irritates me. I can’t think of any better company. I want to tell him all the good, bad and ugly. He doesn’t judge me. He’s so accepting. It’s all warm and fuzzy. 6 years and counting. Best time of my life.

I’m totally on board with the person who says he makes you a better person.

Sometimes I enjoy being around him and other times I get super annoyed but I can never imagine being without him.
