I’ve had this requested at a couple of weddings; the bride wanted people to dress in the wedding colors, or wear a hat, or whatever. I think it’s a little odd, but I wouldn’t take it as anything more than a suggestion.

Honestly my SO’s family does this at every wedding and since we are not engaged I am not invited into the picture even though we live together and we have been dating for 3 years oh and he has flat out told them his is eventually going to propose.  They even ask for the picture from the bride. I think it is tacky but whatever.

I have been to weddings where they have asked for guests to wear all white or all black for a black tie but not a specific color.

Honestly just go along with it not worth the grief of going against the grain.

I would think this was a wedding dress code and I would be offended. I really dislike being told what to wear. I would do it. But i would bitch about it to my husband. And think that the couple was a bit superfitial. But I suppose there are worse things to be.
