I’m sure the “C” is actually a “T”… From what I’ve read, platinum can be stamped with “PT,” “Plat,” or “PLT.” Not sure what the BRC means.

ETA: Actually, now that I’m looking, PLT usually means “plated.” I know if something is gold plated, it can be stamped with “GLD PLT,” so it’s possible that your ring is plated with whatever BRC means? Sorry I can’t be of any more help, but now I’m just as curious as you are!

I bet it is PLT too, not PLC. for Platinum.

Why don’t you give them a call and see what they have to say? I’m curious what the BRC is too. I used to live in VAncouver, and am familiar with Spence and have heard nothing but good things about them.

Could it be the jeweler’s stamp?

“Jeweler’s Stamps

A common stamp that you’ll see inside rings are Jeweler’s Stamps so you can tell where you bought the ring from. Like “JBR” inside the shank would stand for J.B. Robinson Jewelers, “Pgda” stands for the Piercing Pagoda, Helzberg Diamonds will stamp “Helzberg Diamonds” right inside their rings.

Sometimes these Jewelers will abbreviate their store’s names or even use a logo. Every Jeweler is different and uses different markings.”

I’d just call the store.  They would be able to tell you in 2 seconds.  BRC could perhaps be some stock #/style# information

@avonleaR:  Mine is from Spence and says “BRT 18K”, so the BRT  must be part of the jeweler’s name or something.

BRC could mean bridal collection, and the PLC could mean palladium collection. Palladium is very very similar to platinum. Just call the store, they should be able to tell you.
