So we had an ultrasound a week ago and baby’s head and stomach were measuring in the 96th percentile. Does that mean he is going to be huge? According to his measurements, he weighs about a pound right now. I was 19 weeks at the ultrasound.

It means that 4 percent of babies have a head larger than your baby’s at that stage in pregnancy. It doesn’t necessarily mean your baby will be huge, it’s just a measurement. You have plenty of time to go, the little one could very grow the rest of it’s body into it’s head and torso, or slow down with growth and be more on track. I’d not worry too much unless your doctor seemed concerned.

It could also mean that your dates are off. Things will sort themselves out over time… They had my baby’s weight off by about a pound!
