I usually feel best after yoga. As far as machines go, I usually can always hop on the elliptical and do at least 30-45 min. If I had the money and the space, I’d buy an elliptical.

I have an elliptical and a treadmill and for me, the treadmill is more comfortable overall. My elliptical is just not as comfortable as the ones at the gym. Now when I am at the gym I don’t even go near the treadmill. I use the elliptical exclusively for my cardio.

I run outside.

If i use equipment i like the treadmill the best (my Father-In-Law have a treadmill and elliptical and my sister has a bike), for some reason I hate the elliptical. I think you can use the treadmill in more ways, llike with incline and such. you can also grow more on the treadmill by making it harder.

Don’t forget good free weights!

I don’t like to run but I want to burn as many calories as possible.  So, for me, the eliptical is the best machine.

Go for an elliptical.  They really work your entire body out!  Plus it’s really good for your knees.  Running can kill your knees, hips, shins, and ankles, but an elliptical is really gentle.

@Crisark: What about a bike? To me, the bikes at the gym in front of the tv are the easiest to distract myself from. I have an elliptical at home and I love it, but I get tired more quickly. That’s probably a good thing, but I feel more accomplished with the bikes. haha.
