I’m ordering mine from the these folks, and it will be similiar, but personalized with our dog and some other details.

I’m very frugal, and this is one of my ONLY wedding splurges, but I love love love it, and I’m already imagining displaying it on a shelf by our wedding photos.  Plus, I’m justifiying it by saying I won’t need or want a fancy decorated cake since I have such an awesome topper…

I’m doing a Korean cake topper theme, with 2 ducks on the side that’s suppose to represent the groom and bride. It’s symbolic in showing the love the male duck shows for his female companion, protecting her from all other male ducks, bringing fortune and bountiful love. It’s so cute. Here’e a pic. I love this. Thanks to YuYu!!

I needle felted 2 birds for our’s.  This is a just a quick mock up of their headpieces, I still have to make the real ones and then decorate and add faces.  Etsy sells similar birds for well over $100 – I made these for less than $5!

Looking at these I think there might be more variriety in cake toppers than in any other category!

Ours is a small copy of artwork by Robert Indiana.
