I hope mine says, “Unorthodox” and “outside of the box” lol! However, I do want it to reflect a sort of distinctive elegance as well.  Hopefully by the time it’s all fitted properly (this was my first fitting – the corset isn’t tightened at all!) and I have my hair done and make up done, the whole image will come together.

๐Ÿ™‚

I’m also paying homage to my father’s Chinese heritage, so I wanted my dress to also directly reflect that.

I wanted something that was unmistakably a wedding dress but yet beach appropriate.

Soft, fun, classy, and romantic come to mind.

I was looking for something flirty, sexy, fun and modern. Something a little bit different and unique, with a tad of drama and a lot of personality. That’s pretty much sums up who I am, so my dress needed to match! LOL!

Did I mention that I bought it without even trying it on?

Oooooh! Daring!! Well, for the record, I tried on a lot of similar silhouettes and a dress with the same bodice so I think I’m safe. I’ll let you know in 4-6 months when it arrives. Eek!

I wanted a dress with a little bit of a “wow factor”.  I didn’t want anything weird – but definately wanted people to remember my dress…I’ve been to too many weddings were the consensus about the bride’s gown was “it’s very pretty…but nothing special” and I knew my friends would expect something more from me. ๐Ÿ™‚  I’m going for a modern bombshell look that balances glamorous beautfy and trendy details.

@peacegrl099 & @Sweet Mrs. C  Thank you so much!  I never thought I would have the ‘it’s the one feeling’ but I did with this dress.  It is a Junko Yoshioka by the way, I forgot to mention that ๐Ÿ™‚

Simple and elegant. And the pockets reflect the relaxed side of me. ๐Ÿ™‚
