a representation of how much I'm loved or appreciated

    A symbol of promise

A representation of our financial situation

    I don't care for a ring

    To show that I'm married

To remind me of our love

    Other - explain

I take it as a symbol of our love, and commitment to each other, and an outward sign of my relationship status. It means way more to me than just a piece of jewellery.

@tiff-tiff-tiff:  I voted “other” because the ring Fiance gave me represents how much we’ve been fighting for what we want: to love eachother for ever. We used to look to my naked finger and he use to say: “oh how I long your ring to be on your finger”. Two years went by and now we are here.

NotFroofy and I chose to have plain gold wedding bands (and no engagement rings).  We wanted the symbolism, and the reminder that we are married at last.  But we definitely didn’t want the rings to be a display of our financial situation.
