He says “I seen it” instead of “I saw it”.  I blame this on his deep in the heart of the  Appalachian roots, but it makes me cringe every time I hear him say it or see him write/text it.

Mr.ND has some funny mispronunciations. While I give him credit for owning it and acting like he knows what he’s saying by stating it confidently, he cracks me up sometimes. The other day we were grocery shopping and he asked if we had any ‘pap-rick-ah’ and ‘Or-i-gan-o’ at home. It took me 3 times correcting him for him to finally get it while I was dying in the spice aisle.

It’s kind of really cute but sometimes he lets his nerdy side shine bright and go on about this and that.  One one hand, it’s really adorable how excited he gets trying to explain to me about the new set of Magic cards (he’s going to the midnight release tomorrow night… and staying out until 5am) or about this video game that has some crazy Japanese name I can’t remember or this other videogame he’s been looking for two weeks to buy but can’t find anywhere.  His excitement is cute but the nerdiness makes me facepalm a little 🙂

@MeiFrancis:  Haha, sounds like something my SO would come up with.  Thankfully, I don’t think he ever ate them as a kid so english muffin pizzas would never come up (though now I kinda want one…) but I’ve had that happen so I usually suggest things that he would like that I could have fun actually cooking (I got him to agree to pan fried chicken and homemade mac and cheese<– the best ever!)

Fi’s such a child sometimes, starts talking about superheroes and stuff, it’s cute Sometimes he sees a videogame or cool toy and picks it up and starts bouncing chanting: can I have it, can I have it?

I love that guy, makes my days fun and exciting.

@MeiFrancis:  Yep, SO plays with his cousins on every major holiday and with his friends every Friday night as a local card shop.  He has taught me to play so I’ve beaten him (and his cousins!) quite a few times, though I have no desire to have my own deck.  He’s a CompSci major and a member of the ACM and IEEE and one of the two hosts LAN parties every semester and he took me to a couple.  They were actually kinda fun, until he ditched me to go play Magic and I was left playing TeamFortress2 without any help D:

@JenniferSC:  My SO has a tiny bit of a southern twang, and he says y’all and cent (like 2 cent instead of 2 cents) and it actually drives my mom crazy lol  SO and I grew up in the same town (military area in Southeastern VA) but my parents are from the North while his are from around here so I guess that’s why he’s got some Southern in him while I don’t lol but y’all makes me facepalm every time (and this is slightly off topic, but especially when this Korean girl I went to high school with uses it)

Mine picks his nails and toenails! He refuses to use a pair of nail clippers…I don’t get it!!! I absolutely cannot stand the sound of it, and every time I hear him do it I want to strangle him! haha

LOL @ the guys acting like little kids when it comes to games. I think the maddest Mr.ND ever was at me during one of our teasing fights is when I found a box of WWE (WWF? Idk, “wrestling”) belts and action figures (do not call them dolls) under his bed. I stole the belt and ran around saying I was the champion and he was NOT happy I was playing with his secret toys. He was in college at this time! Bahaha.

@kkish3:  mine does that too. i cringe whenever i see that ever too familiar crescent moon shape of a toenail on the floor. I just literally shuddered thinking about it.

Mine has the charming habit of dropping his socks on the floor RIGHT NEXT TO THE LAUNDRY BASKET. At this point I imagine he must be doing it as a joke because honestly, what a jackass.

My Fiance is absolutely amazing in so many ways, and can be so mature… but sometimes he’s such a little boy, and can be so weird (granted, so can I). Sometimes he will just randomly start talking in jibberish, like, “ugedaba?” and sometimes carries on like that while I am eagerly asking him to stop haha. No idea why, just a little quirk of his. Definitely makes me facepalm. But he sure does make me laugh!

He says ‘brought’ when he means ‘bought’. He has a number of other mispronunciations but he is ALWAYS talking about the stuff he buys.
