Foyer? Must be a large house then. In an apartment a “foyer” is a little tiny 2 feet hallway with the coat closet!

If I had a foyer, I would definitely decorate it because it is the first thing people see when entering the home and they probably judge you with or without being aware of doing so.

We don’t exactly have a foyer. The space at our entrance is small and directly on the left is the half bath and two feet in front is the door to the laundry room.

I have a nice pciture haging in the limited wall space. And currently our outboard motor is there. What a lovely decoration!! lol.

I think if I could find a nice small corner table I would put it there with a vase of flowers, or a photo or something.

Our foyer has a bench to sit on for taking shoes on and off.  There is also framed picture from one of our trips hanging up on the wall.  When you come into our house since we live in a split level from the foyer you either have to go up or down stairs.

Where the picture frame is, it gets moved and other things get hung up there depending on the season.

There is also another door leading to the garage and a closet ..

We don’t currently have anything there now.

I want to get a small table with a decorative bowl/vase/etc on it and hang a large photo/artwork above it.

I live in a condo so we don’t have a ton of room but we have a book shelf there and family pictures sitting on top the shelf above it we have a hanging moon with a few knick nacks on it. Next to that we have a mirror. On the other side of the book shelf we have fake roses in a pot about 3 feet tall. On the opposite wall we have a place to hang keys and a very large picture beside it.

When you first walk through the front door, on an opposite wall we had a huge custom mural size wall mirror done, so basically you can see yourself when you walk in. There is also an asbstract glass sculpture, on a glass bench below the mirror.

On an adjacent wall there is a very large iron clock skeleton. Like bigger than a person large ( however we have high ceilings so it balances out the room) Something like this

Then in the two corners by the door there is a vintage tall cylindrical umbrella holder and the other side a wooden sculpture thing that has arms that holds a bowl that we put seasonal candies in lol.

We dont really have a foyer as our house isnt huge but in the area where you first come through the door we have a black hallway table with a drawer with a very large mirror above it.

On the table is a basket for keys, wallet, sunglasses etc.  I also put some decorative candles (purple candles in black holders) each side of the basket.

My Darling Husband used to be always losing his keys and searching the house before work so this way he always knows exactly where they are.

We also don’t have space for foyer since our townhome was small.. But the side of the front door I decided to hang a wall mirror to make our living room big. Under the mirror, I added a small table and a lamp and few coffee books. When I have the money, I’m going to buy nicer coffee books like Chanel books.
