I don’t have a draw up of mine yet, because it’s my own design! (I’m very picky lol)

  It’s going to match our centerpieces, and be 3 tiers, square, fondant, bottom tier will have icing on it to look like decorative fish netting (which is going under our centerpieces) the middle and top tier will have decorative chocolate shells (in different colors) starfish and sand dollars. The “topper” is going to be a sandcastle πŸ™‚

My wedding cake turned out exactly how I imagined! I provided the lace to wrap around the layers. Plus it was delicious πŸ˜‰

@Treasure43: Oooh!! Pretty!

Everyone’s choices are awesome.

We are going with cherry blossoms.  It was that or snowflakes.  And no, we’re not having an Asian themed wedding. I just REALLY like cherry blossoms (clothes, tattoo, you  name it).  Not sure exactly yet though on the design, depends on price and we figure simpler=cheaper.  The only thing we DO know is that we don’t want fondant so I don’t know how that affects design choices.  But here are some:

@Loribeth: Those are GORGEOUS!! I also love the criss-cross/stiched look. My fav is the second one. Something like that would also be first pick for me.

We weren’t planning on doing a wedding cake, just cupcakes. But we were able to find someone cheap & we’re going the cake route afterall. I didn’t have anything in mind as how I wanted it to look, because that wasn’t what I was planning on. So this is going to be our cake: (sorry the quality is crappy :-/)

This is a photo I found on Theknot.com. The kudos go to The Bake Works-Linwood. We Loved the idea of cupcakes because they are fun, and something different, yet it gives us the tradition of cutting the cake (top layer).This design goes with our fall theme. We’ve kept to it pretty closely, but with the addition of the letter “N” (last name) at the top with the flowers. The cupcakes are almond and chocolate flavored with rasberry filling. This is my inspiration.  We’re having all the women in our families make 8″ round cakes, and we’ll display them kind of like this.  We are making one cake ourselves to use for cutting pictures so no one is offended that we didn’t choose their cake.
