I think the title says it all really.
Does your browsing the bee trigger any kind of response from your SO?
When are you most active on here? work hours? after work?
Do you share the topics that come up with your SO and get their opinion on situations for an ‘outsiders’ view?
DH will often look over at me when I am on the laptop and ask if I am talking to my bee friends, or will say something like your writing an essay, you must be on that bumble bee thing again.
I often show DH posts and ask his opinion but his response isnt usually very serious. He just doesnt ‘get it’.

DH will usually roll his eyes when I tell him I’m on Weddingbee. Mainly because our wedding is over and while I love the marriage part, I want a wedding again. LOL! I live vicariously through other bees looking at rings, dresses, decor, venues, etc. I’ll find something I like and say “For my next e-ring I want..” or “At our next wedding, can we…”. He laughs and rolls his eyes.

rcac1208: DH does ask me sometimes if I am planning on getting married again and ask why on earth I spend so much time browsing a wedding forum. I have tried explaining its soooo much more than a wedding forum.

ChocolateLime: This pretty much sums up what my husband thinks of WB:

My SO doesn’t know about Weddingbee specifically but I have mentioned a few of the topics I’ve seen here with him or shared some posts (geeky wedding/engagement rings was a too much fun NOT to share). We call ourselves ‘practically engaged’ but we’re not engaged yet so my being here is partly me being over indulgent and also me doing research against the day (I plan on having a replica gown made with custom elements so I watch all the replica gown threads like a hawk looking for the best vendor).

I didn’t start participating in weddingbee boards until several months after the engagement and after I completed a big exam. FI humors me and asks me how the weddingbees are. Sometimes if he’s bored, he reads some of the posts when the boards are sitting open on my computer.

My FI knows about it, and every time he sees me writing something on my phone, he asks if I am on the site or texting a friend lol. He doesn’t really care one way or another.

Mine used to try and mock me and roll his eyes, especially after we were wed, which was over three years ago. He did this up until last year where I think he then realised I must be in for the long haul, so now doesn’t say anything at all and perhaps understands why I like it.

My DH usually asks if any exciting topics came up on the bee today and if I care to share.

- Wedding: May 2015 - The Fairmont, SF
Astar312: My FI does this as well.
When I first told him about WB, and before he realized how much time I spend on the site, he admitted that he’d always wondered who the “saddos” were that posted on internet foums… 😛

FI doesn’t care even though he thinks I am a bit obsessed. I found out recently that he’s known I’v been on here for a while, even before we were engaged, and I tried to be discreet!

- Wedding: Disneyland - January 2016
I don’t really spend TOO much time on here when we’re together, but I do spend quite a lot of time lurking when we’re not together. He knows I’m pretty much addicted to reading these forums and I think he’s gotten to the point where he’d like it better if I distanced myself from it a bit. Not because he doesn’t like all the wedding planning details and things like that, quite the contrary! But mostly because I admittedly get a little riled up about particular discussions (money dance, dry weddings, registries, etc.) and I know he’d prefer if I just ignored nay-sayers and do what makes us happy and works for us and our families.

I was browsing Weddingbee and left a thread entitled Ring Porn open on our shared laptop. My husband (bf at the time) saw the tab and got excited because he thought I was looking at actual porn.
He was thoroughly disappointed. Now, he refers to Weddingbee as “the Ring Porn Site”.

My DH used to roll his eyes, but I usually only go on the Bee at work now. Plus he goes on golf and beer boards, so I can have my “girlie” board too!
