We offered beer, wine, water, coffee, and pop for those who don’t drink alcohol. It was something like $1 per person for the pop, so we sprang for it. It’s nice to have something other than water if you have guests who don’t drink alcohol.

We had a premium full open bar, iced tea, soda, juices, coffee, and water. At your wedding, I’d be fine with the tea, but some people may miss the soda. I don’t think it’s a big deal though.

We had:

Pre-ceremony – fruit-infused water + lemonade

Cocktail hour – water + lemonade + soda + signature non-alcoholic drink + signature alcoholic drink + red/wine wine + beer (3 varieties of red, 3 varieties of white and four types of nicer beers, such as Stella) – open bar, not cash bar

Dinner – everything already available from cocktail hour. we also paid extra to have drink service at the tables (vs guests having to get up). we skipped the champagne toast.

Dessert – everything from cocktail hour + coffee + tea

I would’ve done a full bar, but we purchased the alcohol ourselves and had a smaller guest list, so it seemed like a waste to buy all that premium alcohol when probably only part of each bottle would be consumed. We had a good handful of people that definitely were not drinkers, hence why I did the signature non-alcoholic drink.

Our Venue provides:

Champagne, red wine, white rine, a blush wine, soda, coffee, water and tea

we are providing 3 different types of beer.

We figured we didn’t need hard liqour for a Sunday evening wedding.

I would definitely offer another type of drink such as soda or lemonade, because water, tea and coffee can get old for 6-9 hours. =)

I am making real lemonade (with real lemons)  because that’s “our” drink! And I want Shirley Temple because that’s what we get at Swiss Chalet all the time.
