NurseMandie: Which Purina cat food did you feed her before? I feed my girls Purina One Smart Blend Chicken&Rice Formula (after trying many different dry foods, they love this one) and every morning they split a can of fancy feast. The fancy feast helps with my one kitty’s fluid intake, she gets constipated if she doesn’t have it, since she hates drinking from actual clean water sources (shed rather drink from a rain puddle, its gross). We also give them a small amount of cat milk a few times a week and coconut oil as a treat.
I specifically chose the SmartBlend because of the level if protein and the ingredients. It isn’t very expensive and you can purchase it in bulk. Just make sure if you switch the others over to it, you gradually transition them.
Good luck, I hope your fur-baby is feeling better soon.

The Purina Cat Chow complete is what we were feeding her before. And I’m back to square one. Sookie had a checkup and vet said Blue Buffalo is the worst food to give your animal. She is insisting to give my cats Science Diet. I would be perfectly fine with this except Sookie will not eat it. And the wet food is more expensive to give her daily.
I’m so confused. I want a good food for her. I feel like crying, just when I think I have things figured out I don’t.
