I thought I wanted a round solitaire blue sapphire in yellow gold:

Thats what my husband and I went in looking for. But I changed my mind once I saw the rings on my hand and really loved three stone rings. I left the final choice up to my husband though and ended up with this beauty that I absolutely love:

I got a Tacori set (solitaire & eternity band)  2 years ago when we were married. I realized later what I want is a canary yellow center with trillions on each side. A bee on here has it and it’s freaking stunning. Maybe she’ll post it…I think her name is meant2bee

I was convinced I wanted a round diamond in a cushion halo with pave diamonds down the band (pic 1). After trying on 6-7 of those and hating how they all looked on me, I started looking at other styles and ended up with basicaly the complete opposite: a simple 1ct solitaire that I love! (Pic 2). Sorry if the pics are huge and ignore my nasty nails!

I originally wanted this Belle-inspired ring (top pic) from Zales’ Disney collection, but it was very much out of our budget.

I ended up falling in love with the bottom ring (which I honestly love even more! I don’t think I would have liked how thick the band of the original ring was, and I think all the bling takes away from the rose look). So in the end, the ring I got as similar!

Originally I wanted a Heidi Gibson ring. My fiancé (after proposing) told me he even looked into either buying me one of hers and he showed me the mock-ups he had a local jeweler draw to be similar to her designs). This is the ring I ended up with and couldn’t be happier. Platinum bezel around my grandmothers .24ct Diamond with 18k gold to create the ring. It’s AMAZING and sooo easy to wear 24/7 (except work, chores, that kinda normal stuff). My husband told me he didn’t want me to have a ring I couldn’t wear all the time and worry about losing stones or getting dirty, etc.

This custom made ring is 10000% perfect for me.

Originally I wanted a yellow gold solitar with a diamond. But the more I tried on, the more they seemed kinda plain.

I ended up with this, with a totaly unique stack. I love it so much.

I always wanted a halo emerald cut but when I tried it on it wasn’t me! So I went with princess cut in a custom setting and think it is 100% my style. This is a great thread and it’s interesting to see how many went with other styles.

When we first started talking engagement I wasn’t sure what I wanted and had seen a lot of women with halos. I liked the finger coverage and the bling that came with pave bands, and when I tried on this first ring I thought it looked sooooo glamourous. The more I looked and tried on, though, I realized that that just isn’t my style and didn’t feel like the ring for me. I ended up searching more months for the perfect diamond- again, perfect for me- which is how I found the weddingbee. We then went the custom route and had a slim band low profile solitaire made to hold the center stone. I am obsessed with the ring I ended up with ♥️
