baileybagels :  I always knew I wanted an Asscher cut and a simple setting, that’s all my husband (weird calling him that, we’ve only been married a week) went on and he got me my dream ring

I originally wanted an emerald, but my SO was NOT about it. Then I wanted a halo ring in white gold. When the SO and I started looking together, we settled on a gold solitaire with leaf detailing. He wants a gold band so it would match his. And it was very important to me we chose something unique. I didn’t want the same solitaire or halo design that many others have.

I don’t have it yet (still waiting for my proposal) but I’m very excited to get to wear it everyday!!! I found a yellow gold wedding band with tiny emeralds in it that compliments the ring, and I can’t wait!!!!

I really loved solitaires.  I was torn between a square or round.  My husband got me a princess cut tension setting.  I am in love with it. Just wish I could get a band for it.

I initially was looking between round solitaires, emerald solitaires and round three stone. I also like cushion solitaires LOL. My husband doesn’t really like three stone styles, and couldn’t get into step cuts, so he went with a round solitaire (which I also love). Definitely would love to one day design some more “unique shaped” RHRs or stand-ins, because I love different shapes and colours.

When I first started looking, I wanted the James Allen milgrain navette halo ring. I loved the details and vintage look of it, but after looking at halos on my hand, I wasn’t sure that was what I wanted and I wasn’t sure how the sharp edges would feel.

What I got was a Verragio renaissance 941 with single prongs rather than double. I loved the little arch details, the way the pave stones were set, and the surprise diamonds.

I originally thought that I wanted a princess cut solitare, but when I tried ones on they just didn’t look right on my hand. I’m a tall eprson and the ring just looked too simple. In order for it to look balanced, we were having to go too high up in size to be reasonable. Then I tried on a three stone and fell in love. We designed my ring together and spent forever figuring out the perfect proportions that we wanted. I’m in love with it.

I actually got the ring I wanted. My FH asked me to look around for styles I liked, I’ve never looked for rings before really so I wasn’t sure what styles I was into. I accidentally came across it and fell in love instantly! I showed it to him and told him it was my top choice and he got it for me a few months later 😊 I’m still completely obsessed with it.

This is the ring that I originally wanted:

And this is what I ended getting:

I still love them both but I am happy with my ring and wouldn’t change it for the world. 🙂

The ring I wanted… Classic round solitaire, 1.5 carat.

And the ring he picked out and showed me, which I ended up loving. Elongated cushion halo.

I originally wanted a round double halo. I had my heart set on it. My guy had other ideas! He had this trillion single halo hand crafted to symbolise our family. We are one side and the 2 children we created symbolise the other sides.

I absolutely love it!!!

I always though I wanted a white gold halo pear cut shaped ring but the more I saw the emerald cut halo made me crazy about it. My guy made the smart decision to get the one that attracted me more. He has not propose yet but i can’t wait to wear it.

Years before I met my SO I was already obsessed with rings. I had a collection of ring picutres on my laptop and still do. You can see the screenshot below. I have even more photos on my phone and on my old laptop which I don’t use anymore. Yes, I have a ring porn collection!

I wanted to have a ring with black stones to match the black tattoos on my feet. But as I grew older I realised I want to be a bit more traditional and I want the ring to match the watch that my father gave me.

These are the rings that my SO gave me – the one on the left was a birthday present and the one on the right is an early Christmas present. I chose them both myself based on his budget. He got me the second one because I became insecure about the size of the first ring which is actually almost 3x more expensive than the second one. The one on the left is a good match to the watch my dad gave me because they’re both white metal. But I’m quite happy with both rings, especially with the second one because it’s helped keep my ring obsession at bay. I’ve realised it’s just a ring and it’s what they symbolise that matter.

vanessalynn22 :  where did you find your wedding band if you don’t mind me asking? I love the alternating side of the sapphires + diamonds and am looking for a very similar bezel band just with yellow gold
