So I come from a culture where it’s traditional for the bride’s parents and other close family members to gift jewellery to the bride for the wedding. I won’t have to wear all of it (especially if it doesn’t match or isn’t to my taste) but I just found out that my parents have bought me a solitaire diamond necklace and they’d really, really like me to wear it on the big day. I was originally just going to go with large crystal studs and call it a day but now I’m wondering if I should go for something more understated or maybe even something with a bit more movement and dangles?
Earrings I currently own and *might* work:<br />http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/swarovski-earrings-marquise-crystal-drop?ID=562630

Go with the marquise drop earrings if the pendant is pear, marquise or kite set princess.
That last pair would go with just about anythig.

Hmm, the pendant is a round brilliant in a white gold four prong setting. I’m really hoping to find somehting that dangles a bit more. The pendant is about a carat – is there some kind of earring to pendant ratio I should be aware of?

I don’t typically like earrings with necklaces. I think it’s just a little too much. If I were to pick one, it would be the last pair. Or even a plain metal pair.

I honestly think that anything pretty much goes with a solitaire necklace. They’re dainty so not much clashes.
