So many things are going wrong now, and my wedding is in 3 weeks.
First of all, in the beginning of my dress shopping, I told myself that I shouldn’t get a strapless dress because I didn’t want the problem of my top falling. Well I went with a strapless dress and seems to be too loose at the top, and they can’t take it in anymore because I will have pinched skin. It’s not that loose but if I raise my hands while dancing, a boob may pop out, or something may show.
Second issue. I purchased my vases back in January but never opened them, they have been sitting in the box in my garage. Well I took them to my florist last week and she said they are not steardy enough to hold the arrangement that I want to sit on top. So I called the company where I bought the vases from, and they were wondering why I want to exchange them 7 months later. Since it’s been so long, they are charging me a 20% restocking fee, so I’m basically losing out on $50.
Third Issue. I purchased my veil on ebay. Took the veil with me to my final fitting today. The veil doesn’t match. It’s tooooo white. My dress is a diamond white, and the veil is white. I didn’t think there was a difference when I purchased the veil. I contacted the seller I bought the veil from, and she says “NO EXCHANGES OR REFUNDS.” NOOO, that’s $100 down the drain, well at least til I can sell it. Now I have to find a veil.
I hope I don’t run into anymore problems…Sheesh

I’m not sure that those are the worst things that could happen in the world, so for now take a deep breath and smile.
Solve the dress issue with a bra or another undergarment, if it won’t show. That way you’ll have higher cleavage which will hold the dress up and prevent any peek-a-boo moments. Or, if it will show in the back try some adhesive bras (I get mine from Victoria’s Secret) for the same effect.
The other issues can be handled by simply putting an ad in the classified section. They will sell quickly.
It’s not like you have a drunk uncle that is calling everyone telling them that the wedding in cancelled! ๐ Relax a little ๐

I am sorry for all your pre-wedding snafus. Regarding your dress, I highly suggest some doublesided dress tape. This is what the stars use on the red carpet to keep themselves from falling out of their skimpy dresses. I have used it myself, and it works great.

I agree with the other ladies… things happen and you just have to deal with it. At least you have a heads up now and try to come up with some solutions.
And you could also wear a cute little bolero as well… I’m actually going to be wearing 1 because I bought a strapless dress and I don’t want to be revealing everything (grew up a conservative like family).

Thanks you guys for the uplifting comments. I forgot to add that I got my makeup trial done today, and my Fiance hates it. I don’t usually wear makeup so he said I look like I have a cake face..Yikes

Ouch! But you should have posted a pic of what you had done. At least you’d get a couple of unbiased opinions. Guys don’t realize that makeup looks different in photos and that’s really what it’s for.

OMG I think that’s beautiful!!! The shading is absolutely perfect and your eyes really pop! There’s no ashy look on your skin which is a SUPER plus for your photos.
BUT, if you never wear makeup, I see how he would think that it was too much. It’s incredibly dramatic for a natural girl.
What did you think of it?

Sorry you’re feeling so much pressure right now, that’s no fun. Just resign yourself to the fact that some things ARE going to go wrong with your wedding and it’s not the end of the world. No one will notice these things besides you.
Re the dress: as PP said, use double sided tape or get some more secure undergarments that will ‘bulk’ you up in that area.
Re the vases: yup, that stinks but at least it’s only $50 you’re out.
Re the veil: search for tips on how to darken your veil on the bee. I have seen numerous posts on how to stain your veil to a darker shade using tea or other means (can’t remember them now) so it’s worth a shot. Alternatively, you can always try to sell it as you mentioned
Re your makeup – I think it looks nice but if you think it looks too heavy, ask your make up artist if she can use air brushed foundation instead. It’s very light but looks great. If she can’t do it, maybe try to find a different make up artist. Regardless, on your actual wedding day, your Fiance is going to think you look absolutely beautiful, even if your make up is exactly the same as your trial.
Really, just relax and enjoy this special time! There is no need to stress over minor details…. in the end, you will be married and that is all the matters. Good luck!

@Ree723: You always give great advice. ๐
To the OP: I love the makeup! I think if you’re having a night wedding (not sure if you are…) you need a little extra drama, and you also need a little oomph for pictures too! Guys aren’t always the best judges on issues of fashion and makeup ๐

Thanks for the great advice you guys. I know that things can be worse, so I’m not going to worry about it.
