@lina010:  depending on what your centrepieces look like, you don’t have to put them on anything, just on the table cloth or runner.  i’ve seen some on just a napkin or table square as some call it.

you can also use a tray or piece of wood or a bed or rose petals.  the possibilities are endless.  it all depends on what look you are trying to achieve.

I used doilies.   You can put them on anything!

I found hot pink crocheted dollies at Michael’s for $1.50 each! I was SO STOKED! But then again, my CP’s are tea pots so it matches.

What are your centerpieces and what is your theme/style? It depends on the look you want.  Something appropriate for a black tie affair may look out of place at a rustic barn wedding, etc.

I sat mine on black wood pedestal candle plates. I don’t have a professional pic of the centerpieces yet (they were very low key & small, but completely my vision & I loved them!) but here is a crappy pic from Hobby Lobby. They are actually pretty large, and I think 6in across. They were originally $30, but I got them and the other centerpiece items for 50% off at Hobby Lobby during a sale on all candle items, so they were $15 each, which I didn’t think was too bad really.

Find some pretty fabric and frame it. Put the centerpieces on that.

I bought different sized glass pillar candle holders from save-on-crafts.

@lina010:  Ooooh, pretty!  It’s so dramatic, I think right on the table is fine.  Remember, you’ve got silverware, glasses, favors (if you’re having them), etc.  It will be pretty full if you’ve got a full table setup.
