- Wedding: June 2011
We are having kind of a country vintage sort of wedding include using antiques for decorations and mason jars for our centerpieces. So to go with that theme, we found mason jar-esque glasses with handles for the groomsmen and ushers as their gift. We had each engraved with their names and our wedding date.
For my girls, I painted canvas bags with their initials, made them beaded bracelets, got them pink flip flops and put together wedding day survival kits.
So my concern is that we didn’t get the men enough for their gift. We plan to fill the jars with mixed nuts because they came with a lid but I can’t think of anything else inexpensive to go with their gift. The jars were $10 a piece to get engraved and total, I probably spent less than $12 on the girls gifts (I’m an extreme bargain shopper and got all my items on sale or used coupons). So money-wise, they’re about equal but it looks like the girls got A LOT more than the men. I don’t want the guys to take offense to it.
FH says we don’t need to get them anything else but I’m just not sure. Any thoughts bees?
