For my November wedding, I’ve been thinking about what to get my four BMs. Currently, I have a pair of stud earrings and a canvas tote bag that I’ve personalized with their initials.
We’re on a tight budget but I really want to get them a couple extra things to really fill out the bag. On the DIY boards, I saw a bee personalized short terrycloth robes for her girls. I’m thinking about adding those and maybe some flipflops from ON. That way we can get ready comfortably and then dance the night away after the ceremony.
Can you give me any other suggestions to fill out the bag? Or is what I have (and plan to have) enough?
Thanks in advance!

I like spa gifts :). For mine, I added some soap from a company called Global Girlfriend that only sells fair trade goods made by women. I think they were $3 each and they smell so good. I also found a fizzy bath ball at Jo Ann Fabrics (weird, I know), that was only $1. I got them bigger stuff too, but I have a lot of cheaper, cutesy stuff in there.

Yea- spa stuff would go with robes. I would be thrilled to get a nice cozy robe!
Maybe some nail polish too! Sounds like your gift bags are great 🙂

As soon as I put the finishing touches on them, I’ll post on the DIY boards. They are fairly large bags and I *really* don’t want my girls to look in them and be underwhelmed. I think the robe and flip flops will take up a chunk of space, but I really want them to like the gifts.
I really like the spa gifts (especially since you found them so affordable)! I also don’t want to get them things they feel like they have to use at/for the wedding. Is there anything else that says “Thank you for being with me on such an important day and for listening to all my crazy without flinching or unfriending me”?
Maybe something that could be used after the wedding?

One more idea: I’m really big into makeup, so I bought them all cute little travel palettes. They’re $10 from Stila, and the quote on the inside says “The road to a friend’s house is never long,” which I thought was adorable. I definitely tried to lean more towards personal things that will have a life after the wedding :). Another thing I’ve seen girls do is get them personalized wine glasses. That’s always really cool.

My best friend gave us flip flops, coffee mugs–really cute ones, nail polish OPI, redken mini hair sprays, little mini frames with her and her hubbys pic framed and a cute bag that says bridesmaid.

I filled mine with lipgloss, blotting sheets, mini manicure set with nail polish, earrings to wear on wedding day, and a pashmina (not necessarily to wear on the day, but they could bring it as the night cools down). I really wanted to find nice designer sunglasses, but I opted to use the $ to pay for their wedding day hair instead.

@jo.lee: You’ve been such a help! Thank you! I saw something like the make up palette at Ulta. We don’t have a Sephora in my area so I’ll have to keep an eye out for them there.
@missmichigan: The mini hair sprays are SUCH a good idea. Our wedding looks like it’s going to be a 12 hour event, so that sounds perfect! Plus, who doesn’t love a little luxe product every now and then.
