2010’s lol. it doesn’t make me think of any era other than right now! the hairstyle could be 40s or 50s, but that’s about it, for me

I guess I would say 50’s if I had to choose.  But that’s mostly because of the shape of the gown and the straps.

I want to say 40’s or 50’s. It’s beautiful; something a queen would wear.

Definitely late 40s. It seems golden age of Hollywood to me. Very classic.

I would say pre-1900, maybe victorian at a stretch but not really “vintage” at all. It’s pretty modern. Definitely NOT 1950s, the 50s were all about the natural waist ballgown and that dress has a slightly dropped waist. Ive also never seen a 50s dress with the side sweep of fabric.

I think its pretty modern looking with all the beading and the different fabrics.

What theme or era were you going for?

@jayme.l.shepherd: I would say  its a touch of scarlet o-harra and a bit of a Spanish influence from around the 18th century-I get that from the lace.

Aw…when I saw your post I thought this was going to be about baseball…sigh.

I think it looks modern – the hair style is kind of dated, but the dress looks newish.

@rachaelrobin:

And I thought it was going to be about the Equal Rights Amendment.  C’est la vie… 😉

It’s a beautiful dress, dare I say, “timeless.”  But I don’t associated it with any particular period.  Maybe that does mean it’s of the 2010s, and in 10 years it will look dated. But right now it just looks lovely.

That dress reminds me of the 2000s as well. It’s really not vintage at all. Pretty, though.

@jayme.l.shepherd: Yay! 😀 Im glad thats what you were looking for cus thats what I got from it. Sure its not the red dress (the INFAMOUS red dress) but its definitely something I could see Miss Scarlett wearing to get married in!

or perhaps the white version of the Red dress….god I loved that movie!
