My DJ won’t be there so what are we supposed to do without the music? What exactly happens at a rehearsal?

You figure who stands where, how the processional will go. For ours will be a test run with music we are using my ipod for walking down the asile. Basically figure out your ceremony
You’ll practice everyone walking in and out and make sure people know where and when to go, who they’re walking with, etc.
All the rehearsals that I have been to had music. Even if they DJ cant be there someone else should be able to control the music for the rehearsal. I think its helpful to run through it with the music
@bells: Maybe we can download the songs somehow onto an Ipod or something
I’m doing mine without music too. No worries. I don’t really see the need to pay the DJ to be there. Everone is walking to the same song, so all they need to know is who to walk with, and where to stand.
@Tswife4ever: yeah that would be a good idea.. that way people know how fast/slow to walk and how much time of gap between each person e.t.c
Basically, you familiarize everyone with the venue – where they’ll wait for their cue during the processional, who they’ll walk with, where they’ll stand, etc. Our officiant conducted our rehearsal and also told the bridesmaids how to hold their bouquets at the altar and where the groomsmen should place their arms, so they’d look uniform in photos.
