Little boxes of conversation hearts. It’s the only nod we really have to Valentine’s Day being the day before.

@Tess63110:  Love your idea! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I already have my guest cards done, but I have been looking for websites to get champagne in bulk.  Where did you get yours and how much were they? πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

We’re doing beer koozies in our wedding colors.

They’re STUPID cheap, and kitshy enough to be cute.

They’ll say “To have and to hold, and to keep your beer cold. Mr. & Mrs. Galoshes 9.6.14”

In our circle, they’ll be a big hit!

We are doing a donation to the Leukemia and Lymphoma society as our favors. Im not sure if we are going to include anything else to put on the place setting.

Organic chocolates from the island we met on:

We’ll get several varieties and people can choose which one they want.

I’m not getting mine from etsy. I have a local craft store that sells the balls for $3.00AUD comes in a box. My mum is a florist so she is getting all the flowers/plants really cheap. it will cost me about $7 per ball. Check your local craft stores, or $2 shops (I have seen really small ones there). or you can order them from ebay. They are so easy to make.

We gave out lip balm for the women and playing cards for the men. Our table names were our favourite chocolate bars so we also gave out that kind of chocolate bar at each place setting.

We were going to do little bottles of jam but we are doing chocolate truffles.  Totally agree on the edible thing and we love chocolate

@otto2008:  From asking around, I learned:

– NO keychains, bottle openers, beer cozies, other random knickknack with the names/date all over it. They’ll end up in the trash. πŸ™

– In fact, if you put your names/date on the favor, it’s probably better off on a tag or label or something NON-permanent, as most people I spoke to dislike favors that are advertisements for the couple’s wedding. If you’re giving away something that may be kept a while (mug, coasters, etc.) the guests WILL remember they got it at your wedding without your names and date all over it. And they’ll appreciate it more if it blends in with their normal decor!

– Edible or food-related favors are always good! Cupcakes, cake-pops, candy, hot cocoa, even things like syrup, honey, etc. that are just added to food. πŸ™‚

– Allowing guests to choose is extra awesome! Choice of cakepop flavor, or candy type, or flavor of hot cocoa… people like choice. πŸ™‚

We did coffee favors. We’re coffee fanatics, and DH knows more about coffee than any man should.  So it was fitting for us!  We went to our local roaster, and they roasted a batch especially for us, just three days before the wedding, so it was super fresh!  We had a choice of whole bean or ground, and each bag of coffee had a chocolate on it.

They went over very well!
