@inky_1:  The cake is the thing i’m most excited about. bottom tier is a red velvet with cookies and creme filling, middle is lemon with strawberry filling (tastes like strawberry lemonade), and the top is carrot with creme cheese filling. Frosting is buttercream with fondant on the outside. i’m one of those people who removed the thick layer of fondant so i wanted buttercream so it still has a little sweetness added.

4 tier cake.  2 tiers red velvet.  2 tiers of what I’m calling banana fosters: banana cake, carmelized bananas, candied hazelnuts and vanilla buttercream. The two flavors are really a reflection of me and my Fiance.

Ours was a vanilla cake with buttercream frosting and mango/raspberry filling.

It was amazing! We had carrot and chocolate cake as well, so the lightness of the filling was really nice on a warm Spring day!

Three layers…

Top and bottom was white cake with almond liquor raspberries and marzipan, center tier was chocolate hazelnut with toffee crunchies.

I’m seeing lots of unique flavors!

Ours was a traditional marzipan torte (very egg-rich almond-flavored cake from Germany) soaked in rosewater with real buttercream. It was decorated with fresh pansies/violas/violets. I made the top tier myself- good old-fashioned traditional fruit cake.

We had cupcakes and one cake to cut. The cake and some of the cupcakes were dark chocolate cake with red raspberry filling and dark chocolate frosting. The other cupcakes were vanilla cupcakes with pastry cream filling and vanilla buttercream frosting… then chocolate chip cake with chocolate ganache and cream cheese frosting.

Chocolate with white chocolate mousse. It tasted like a devil dog.

  • Vanilla Buttercream Frosting (with gold food coloring)
  • Chocolate cake.
  • Raspberry filling.

Then we will be having cupcakes that people can frost themselves.

We had a cupcake tower that included dutch chocolate cupcakes, butter yellow cupcakes, red wine velvet cupcakes, and then our cutting cake was a lemon pound cake… all had swiss buttercream frosting.
