@mallo: I’m picky, so I like when food is available that is somewhat “normal”…I don’t like really fancy shmancy stuff that is hard to pronounce, or sauces that I can’t identify. I would be happy with chicken, beef, pork or fish, but I would want the option to not have them drowned in sauce/toppings. For sides I would stick to something safe, like rice and veggies or potatoes and veggies. Again, if I can’t identify it, I don’t want it.

What kind ofweddingdo you see yourself having? What kind of people are you and FI? Fancy, laid back casual, hip? Think about what you want your wedding to feel like and work back from there. Do you want a great fun casual party? Or elegant fancy affair? Both are awesome, but very different and will lend themselves to different food.

Lots of it.
I am not a picky eater and will eat almost anything as long as it’s hot (if it’s supposed to be) and good. I’m a fan of simple with a little something extra. The last wedding I went to had mac and cheese with some other spices (maybe paprika?). It was simple, but not boring.

Personally- I would favor quality or fanciness of food. Poor quality steak and lobster is hardly exciting or delicious yet I see it at tons of weddings. We are have an italian feast. Neither of us are italian, but we love the food. Tons of pastas, lasagna, and chicken and fish dishes instead of steak and lobster (or substitute something else fancy), but the quality of the food is awesome
