i am ready to make a change! i have been using Revlon stuff for a long time, most recently PhotoReady Airbrush Mousse, but its messy and i feel like it comes off on clothes a lot, even when i blend it in a lot.
what do you all use? i am open to investing in grown up make up (clinque/mac etc) but drugstore brands work too!

I use makeupforever HD. It’s pricy, but it gives excellent coverage without looking flaky, and I don’t wear makeup daily anyhow.

i’ve been using bare escentuals for 6 years! love it. it’s a little messy until you get the process down. gives you that barely there very natural look.

I use Urban Decay Surreal Skin mineral makeup and I love it.

I use Dr Jart bb cream. It’s not a foundation, but it really smooths everything out and the color blends really well on alot of skintones. It only comes in one color though.

I use Mac Face and Body with a stippling brush during the day, its light and dewey/natural. For night i use Dior Skin, its a bit heavier but gives a gorgeous flawless coverage. Using a stippling brush with both of these gives such a great finish.

I had been using Make Up For Ever’s HD Foundation (and I still do for special occasions/nighttime wear) but it is heavy. Urban Decay just released their Naked foundation and I’m in love with it. If you use it with the foundation brush they released with it your skin looks flawless and airbrushed!
ETA: As far as foundation coming off on your clothes, do you set it with powder? Try picking up a translucent powder (like MUFE’s Microfinish Powder or Urban Decay’s Razor Sharp Powder, my two faves) and set your foundation with it. You can also try using a setting spray for your makeup, I like Urban Decay’s All Nighter, it keeps my makeup from rubbing or sweating off, which is a huge problem for me because I sweat quite a bit.

Ooooooh I love this question because I am makeup obsessed!
My favourite foundation ever is Laura Mercier matte. Its pricey though at around $55.00 But it’s worth every dime.
Runner up has to be Bare Minerals powdered foundation.
Third place goes to Make up forever HD foundation
all of these foundations are pretty pricey…
If you want something cheaper, I really like Bourjois 123 perfect foundation.
MAC gives me pimples.

- Wedding: October 2011 - Bed & Breakfast
An equal parts blend of Smashbox 15 hour moisturizing foundation, Hourglass mineral veil primer, and Cerave moisturizer applied with a foundation brush for nice, sheer but smooth coverage. For heavier coverage I seperate out each step and apply the foundation with a good quality sponge.
My runner-up for foundation is Dior Forever Flawless.
EDIT: My skin is very sensitive, normal-dry, and I prefer a medium coverage formula that is buildable. I’m also wicked pale in the winter, so some lines I rule out because their lightest shade is still too dark or looks yellow for me.

I am a MAC Addict my favorit for the price love it all, personal fave is there Match Master gives me a perfect shade every time

I actually dont wear foundation often, just some primer, concealer and powder. But when i do wear foundation it is the maybelline matte mouse foundation.

Everyday Minerals jojoba foundation, although if you’re looking for more coverage, I’d go with Bare Minerals (but not their brush–EM’s bamboo kabuki brush is way better).

Clinique Even Better foundation. I usually don’t like foundations, but I love this one!

My basic, daily foundation is just covergirl. I know tons of people don’t like it, but honestly, it does just what I need it to. I also have the matching shade in a powder, that helps set it so that it doesn’t come off during the day.
I also use the mister that E.L.F. came out with to set my foundation/power/makeup just to ensure it doesn’t come off on anything.
For the wedding, I used forevermakeup HD and it worked great! That’s my go to make up for things like gigs and going out. 🙂

I use Yaby & Graftobain, they are pro brands I have for my makeup kit. For drug store I like some Revlon and L’Oreal.
Im anti MAC they have gone down hill over the years, gone really cheap, and they do shady practices in the industry to other makeup artists. Their makeup is too gimmicky IMO. I do love a red lipstick they make though, its Perfect for when I do pinup looks, a good red can be hard to find…
I do like BE but its too heavy of a coverage for my taste and its looks terrible in photos.
