Hi, everyone! My husband and I got married last Friday, at the courthouse. We really thought we had everything planned perfectly, we were keeping it small, what could go wrong? However, we still had a few minor things happen! It started with my husband thinking he had lost our rings. Then, when we went upstairs to turn in our marriage license, we discovered that neither of us had the $10 we needed to pay. Duh! So, I ran back downstairs, and, fortunately, my dad had the cash. Fast forward to the ceremony. Everything was going well. It was all very touching. It was time to exchange rings. The kids galloped up with the rings, and my husband put my ring on my hand. I then tried to put his ring on his right hand! Everyone cracked up at this, including me. I said “well, you know I have a hard time telling right from left!” This was funny and awesome! But, in the end, we were married, and it was a special and beautiful day! The little mistakes just make it more special to me. I was just wondering if anyone had similiar stories to share?

I had a text war with a crazy limo driver from a company I had cancelled with months ago but he still showed up to the address I had given at the time and was demanding money (we were getting ready somewhere else). Umm, not my problem your company can’t figure itself out! He called me a cheap psycho. I saved a screenshot of this conversation because I thought it was a hilarious story!

- Wedding: August 2013 - Rocky Mountains USA
We managed to misplace the marriage license the morning of, and nobody (including us and the officiant) even realized until the next day. We had to track everybody down to sign it when we finally found it 2 days later.
As our friend-officiant said, “Well the wedding went off without a hitch! Although there probably should have been at least one hitch…”
Congrats on your marriage OP!
