Definitely boy for me. I’ve never heard it before but it sounds too similar to Bradley for me to think of it as a girl’s name
Definitely boy. I know of two Hadleys (one was named after the other) – both are boys.
It definitely sounds like a girl’s name to me, sorry! I actually LOVE that name, and have considered it for a future daughter (since I’m crazy and already planning our future children’s names) but the SO hates it.
I’ve only ever heard it used as a girl’s name.
I’ve only ever heard it as a girl name. The baby name voyager lists it as a girls name too:
I mean, you can name him whatever you like but I’d expect he’ll spend his whole life surprising people who expect him to be a girl! This isn’t a unisex name like Casey or something, it’s a girl’s name.
100% girl name. Back in college I knew two bubbly blond sorority girls with this name!
I instantly thought of a boy. It’s too much like Bradley to sound like a girl’s name.
Definitely a boy’s name. I’ve never heard of it as a first name, but I think it sounds masculine, and last names that become first names are usually more masculine. But I could see it as one of those unisex names that start out as boy’s names and eventually become more popular for girls.
I’ve never heard that name before, so seeing it for the first time just makes me think GIRL. Fo sho.
The only Hadley I have ever known was a girl.
It sounds like a girl’s name to me, but I have to admit that my first association was with Harvey Korman’s character in Blazing Saddles… Hedley Lamarr! (Not a bad thing, just made me laugh)
