I was checking our registry today (invites went out and I’m nosy 🙂 plus I like to replace any discontinued items which has happened quite a bit) and I noticed that somebody bought our panini press and breakfast sandwich maker. Obviously we registered for them because we want them, but I was shocked that these were some of the first items to go from our registry–obviously somebody cares very deeply about our sandwich needs 🙂 I would have expected plates, bakeware, etc. to have gone first!
What items shocked you by being some of the first purchased?

People seemed to like the more unique gifts on ours too. Our first gift purchased (and recieved- they sent it right after Save-The-Date Cards went out so before my shower) was a deep fryer. Also our dutch oven and a super fancy/expensive toaster oven.
My cousin actually complained at my shower that we had too many normal/not fun things. Um… I only registered for what I needed but no one said you CAN’T shop off registry! LOL We got some great personalized/handmade/crazy gifts.

That doesn’t surprise me–I always like to get more “unique” gifts too. (Ice cream maker; waffle maker; decorative items)

The first was: my $135 electric griddle.
The second was: 1 square pudgie pie maker, 1 circle pudgie pie maker, a cook book for pudgie pies, and a set of pots and pans (specifically for camping).
The third was: my Kitchen-Aid stand mixer!!!!!!!!

I like buying more “fun” gifts off the registry too. They might not be the most practical bit who doesn’t love a waffle maker or spiralizer 🙂

The first gift purchased off our registry was the knife set. LOL! 😂😂😂

please, do tell, what is a pudgie pie?

this is the circle one, as I mentioned, I already have the square one. You use them (typically) over an open fire while camping 🙂

Yeah I was really surprised when my aunt and uncle bought a $500-$600 kitchen aid. It was kind of an item I put on there and just said: Ill buy it with the 10% completion discount that they offer. I was blown away they spent THAT much money, and I kinda felt bad too tbh. That was one of the first items bought!

too cool! I’ll be looking into that, thanks!

This was one of the first ones we noticed: an alcohol bottle dispenser

Ours hasn’t gone out yet but we are really hoping someone buys us the new pillows we put on there.
I wish I could star them or something. *****get these!*****

Our pots And pans went first. I was shocked because they were the most expensive thing on there. I didn’t even expect to get them at All.

our pots and pans were the first too–my mom and stepdad bought them for us way back in the fall after we created our registry haha. Our registry consultant told us that it’s super common for those to be one of the first! (And bought by parents 🙂 )

We are not traditional and neither are our friends. So I only registered for formal China to make my Future Sister-In-Law happy. What would know…. all 6 place settings and all the extras were the first to go. Too make it even funnier, Macy’s messed up and allowed to people to buy things after they were completed so I even got doubles! SMH
