1) Put whatever you actually want. Don’t put things just to put things. The retailers all give you a huge list of suggestions, but for us, a lot of that stuff would be items I would not use or rarely use. Plus, if you don’t own your own home, imagine having to move all of that stuff around from place to place. Think about whether you would really use something or not, and how often. For example, if you make smoothies or margaritas once a year or less, you may not really need a blender, or at least not a pricey one.

2) I would aim for a wide variety, from $5 to sky’s the limit. People can always go in on something together or parents may want to splurge. Our priciest item was $500 or so, but we had friends that had beds and whatnot on there. For the record, we did get our $500 gift. 🙂 So a TV, if you/they need it, is fine in my book, especially if there are a ton of cheaper stuff on there too.
