my dress is strapless with a low back (not extremely low, but low all the same), and a sweetheart neckline. So im wondering what on earth can i wear that will make me look decent (since i have a small chest), but not show. I recently bought this strapless stick-on bra thing for $24 bucks- huge waste of money! It gave no support so i felt like a saggy old lady lol. I also dont think that my body-shaper will work because its too high in the back and after a while it starts traveling south (i dont have enough to hold it up lol)! Any suggestions for a smaller chested lady? Any good brands i could look into for something that won’t need adjusting while wearing it? Thanks!!!

I’ve seen a lot of women have their alterations person sew cups into the dress itself.

I agree that you should just have some cookies sewn into the bodice of the dress.

do you have a picture of your dress? that will help with suggestions…

From a smaller chested lady, I suggest you throw out that sticky thing!
Also, cups sewn into the dress are okay, but for us smaller girls (and our girls) you can feel a little exposed ( in my opinion)
My sister had a similar dilemma. The dress shop recommended that she buy a regular strapless bra that has like, 3-5 hooks closures in the back. Then, just hook only the one or two lowest hooks, and fold the upper part of the bra under. Does that make sense? It worked great! I pinned it very discreetly to the top/inside of the dress, and she was good to go.
If your dress is a littel lower, you may try a low-back strapless, which you can get at specialty shop. It clasps at the lower rib cage and the sups stand up tall like a boustierre. Not the most comfortable. but it will work.

I’ve had cups sown into formal gowns before, and it works really well. For us small-chested gals, we don’t exactly need the support that larger ladies need, so with cups sown in, you really don’t even need to wear anything under your dress.

oh, and that’s just a picture I googled, by the way– it’s not me, haha.

that actually looks like it would work pretty well. I guess i could have someone sew cups into my dress but i hesitate to do that because like millaybrowning said, i think ide feel a little exposed unless i have the dress super fitted to me so that its very tight.
