Not beauty related but my grandma had to spur of the moment go home for a change of clothes and of course we couldn’t start without her there so I think that was really the only thing that got us behind.

Hair and makeup did take longer than we expected.

It rained. California being in a drought it wasn’t our first thought. Outdoor wedding where we did all the decor set up. I had no time for myself to get ready. My hour 30 gap turned into just the 30. I wish I would of put myself first but eh I’m lousy at that.

Hair and make up/ general bridesmaid lateness. Everyone started getting ready on time, but we were goofing around, taking our time, being slowpokes, drinking champagne, etc.

Then all of a sudden its like holy shit- we have to be READY in 30 minutes. Then someone cant find a bobby pin, someone’s make up needs touching up, you can’t find your deoderant, etc.

Ever realize how it takes a group of girls forever to do anything? Someone needs to pee, someones shoe wont buckle, someone wants to switch bras, someones lipgloss needs touching up, someone’s false eyelash needs glue, etc, etc, etc. We were 30 min behind schedule. Which was FINE because we built it into the timeline.

lizstarlight22 :  I was running perfectly on time, my hair dressers (2) did like 12+ heads of hair in record time. My MUA however took FOREVER. We all looked gorgeous, but she took so long one of my BMs and my aunt had to do their own makeup. We weren’t running late, per say, we just had to rearrage the pics a smidge. I walked down the aisle at 4:01 for a 4pm wedding!

My mom fought me tooth and nail on the fact that the girls got ready too early and now she’s biting her tongue bc she realized I knew it would take longer than anticipated.

Rough timeline:

8am – Meet in hotel

1:30 – Go to church and take pics (didnt do first look)

4pm – ceremony starts

Our wedding ceremony started at 1pm, my mum, bridesmaids and I started to have our hair and makeup done at 8.30. We built in loads of time and we had enough time for everyone to have a snack before the wedding. My cars arrived early, my photographer was early. My DH was early. The guests were early. I was early. I was completely ready 20 goddamn minutes early!!

The florist was late taking the flowers to the church and then got stuck in traffic on the way to the hotel to drop my flowers off. When I got the flowers, the roof on the car wouldn’t go up. They told me that this was the first time it had ever broken – which is just f-ing typical! Then we got stuck in traffic on the way to church, random completely unexplained and unexpected traffic for when we getting married.

The ceremony started 7 minutes late. DH doesn’t let me forget it and damn it annoys me because I was so early!!!
