We have several favorites, including the freezer chest, 400 thread count sheets, and gorgeous new Sur la Table cookware (esp. the chef’s pan, which I adore). Those are all things we registered for.

Our favorite unexpected gift is probably a toss up – the hancrafted bird feeder, the silver picture frame with our wedding date engraved on it, or the little cereamic bird salt & pepper shakers (from a coworker I thought didn’t even like me).

One of the ones we’ve had the most fun with so far are our artisan beer glasses. We’re big beer drinkers, so we had a great at-home “tasting” after the honeymoon trying stouts and pilsners in glasses meant to maximize the flavor.

I also received a stoneware bowl with a lot of intricate glazing from an uncle, which is our favorite off-registry gift we’ve received.

I havent had my wedding yet but I did have my bridal shower and I loved all the gifts. I can’t just pick one: everyone gave me great gitfs:

From our registry:

the sautee pan

pitcher and glass set

Best surprise gift:

The victoria secret purse, body lotion, body splash and body shower gel AND sexy panties (all from fi’s aunt).

Camisole and shorts nightie set

Not from our reistry but better than what we had on the list:

2 sets of ceramic bathroom sets (soap dispener, soap dish, toothbrush holder)…I have 2 bathrooms too and the more colorful one will go in the kids bathrooms.

I got so many great gifts, I serioulsy loved them all.  And I more gifts off the registry than from it.  We’ll see what happens at the wedding.

My absolute favorite was a small “extra gift” from his cousin, who got married about a year ago, shortly after we got engaged. It is actually a picture their wedding photographer took of the two of us having a blast on the dance floor, that has been printed onto a small canvas. They brought it to his bachelor party and I got to see it the day before the wedding and it almost made me cry. That picture showed our personalities so well and why we should be getting married, because we looked so increadibly happy together.

Also, we got two hand crafted gifts. One was our invitation that had been put in a nice frame for us to keep and another was our invitation that had been cut into small strips and curled and placed inside a clear christmas ornament with fine glitter and white beads dripping down the top of the ornament. We have been talking about getting a “first year of marriage” Christmas ornament, and this one was just perfect. We can read all the information on the strips and it definately looks wedding-themed as well.

We of course have gotten tons of dishware, and a vaccum, and all sorts of home things, but I liked these inexpensive gifts the most because they had the most thought and care put into them. 🙂

all the cash! jkjk but actually I really like how everyone got us super practical usable gifts! My favorite (because I didn’t think we were going to get any) is definitely the fact that my aunt bought us 4 place settings of china! If we didn’t get any we probably would never have bought any. 2nd fave has to be the engraved toasting flutes 😀

Mt best gifts, in no particular order are

Just arrived the other week, a digital photo album of some wedding photos from my best friend.  It was an amazing gift, especially as I was so disappointed with our professional photos, and barely could look at them.

Matching his and hers mugs – they are big and bone china and tea tastes AWESOME in them.

Welsh Love Spoons – I have always loved them and was hoping I’d get one, I got 5!!  They are all so different and gorgeous.  We’re going to frame them.

The cash – we’ve been renting furnished houses for so long, and last month we moved into an EMPTY house.  And because of the generosity of all our guests, we were able to kit out the entire house.  New Oven, Fridge, couch, bedroom etc etc.

From our registry: It’s a tie. First, a set of striped towels and washcloths. I’m just obsessed with the color scheme! Second, our bronze owl lamp. So cute!

Not from the registry: A set of royal blue drinking glasses. The set came from a coworker who had no idea what to get us, and he actually apologized for the gift. I was like “What?! This is probably my favorite gift!” Really, they are beautiful and were such a nice surprise.

Fun board:

So we just bought a home 5 months before the wedding so we pretty much had everything we needed. I think most of our guest new this and got us money or gift cards which was our fav, lol. But a few guest got things off our registry. However, my favorite gift was giving to us before our wedding. My husband’s VP got us 2 front row tickets to see the Lion King Live which we seen 2 weeks before our wedding. Also, the most used item so far is our 5 piece TV tray set and eletronic pizza cooker. My most favorite gift when it get warmer is our new charcoal grill. I can’t wait to use it. So many other gift chould have made this list because we was so blessed with stuff.

I love our dyson.  LOVE.  It sucks up everything, lol.  Our apartment is all carpet (minus kitchen/bathrooms) so we appreciate having a good vacume.

I absolutely love our dishes.  I have been in love with them since I first saw them and now we have 10/12 place settings.  We use them every day.  We bought cereal bowls that match and we love them.  Eventually we will get all the other stuff.  Right now we have 8 cereal bowls (only using one set of four lol).  And we’re using 8/10 place settings.  We put the other stuff in the closet.  We also have a serving set which I love too (matches our dishes). [Mikasa Italian Countryside dishes]

We just got our corningware french white bakeware for Christmas and I love it.  It looks good with our dishes too.  <3  EEPS!

I still need to get the griddler >.>; I need it bad lol.

I have two favorites, and neither was from our registry!

1. An 8-course French meal at our friends’ house. They’re AMAZING cooks, and he let me pick the type of food! Each course had its own alcohol pairing and from start to finish, we had so much fun and ate way too much food!

2. A custom painting from our friend. He based the painting off our engagement and wedding photos and it looks AWESOME framed in our living room. This is really tricky, though, because it could’ve easily gone wrong since art is so personal and subjective – luckily we love his work!
