I feel that there has been a lot of negativity on the boards this past week, so what has made you smile today?
I will go first – I made an elderly couple very happy tonight at work. I personally bought them a 60th anniversary card and a bottle of champagne after they mentioned yesterday it was their anniversary today. Seeing them so happy and so in love after all that time made my day.

My husband… He’s just an amazing daddy and husband. I told him I appreciate how he is. It’s nice being in love and I realize many don’t have that. I’m very thankful!

I like happy posts :). Today I went on a beautiful LONG run, and Fiance made some delicious potato leek soup for lunch. Yay!

I had to go to Target today because it’s day 2 of my period and I ran out of tampons. While there, of course I picked up some ice cream. This nice younger guy with quite a cart full of groceries offered to let me go in front of him, but I was so embarassed about the tampons-ice cream combination (either of those on their wouldn’t have embarassed me) that I refused to go in front of him. His sweet offer to let me go ahead made me smile, and then I was secretly smiling/laughing to myself my stupid reasoning for turning him down.
craigslistgirl: Yay!! Sunday morning long runs are the best!!
xstitchbride425: a chocolate expo?!?! That sounds amazing!
ClaireEloise: I love fireworks π I agree- they remind me of being carefree!
ChocolateLime: That’s so sweet!

After bingeing on episodes of the “The Great British Bake Off”, I decided to try my hand at some pastries and they actually turned out quite well! Plus the house smells so good now.
