My Fiance was also doing P90X for a while. Notice I didn’t say he completed 90 days haha. But he just received his TESOL certificate in the mail yesterday and I am very proud of him for that! 🙂

Ah well, my SO served 4 years in the military, including a 15 month stint in Iraq. He may have hated it, but I’m still proud of him for his service.

On a lesser note, I dragged him to Body Pump last night. He was one of only two dudes in the class (mostly women) and he didn’t bitch and moan the whole time, either =]. I want him to work out with me and be healthy (he’s 5’10” and 185 pounds which is actually slightly overweight technically) but I don’t necessarily want to berate him into it.

I’m proud of his finishing up his dual Master’s program (MBA & MS in Systems Engineering) in December while working full-time (most of the time 12+ hour days with his commute!) and keeping our relationship a priority.  I’m proud of how kind he is towards his parents (just sent them flowers for their anniversary).  I’m proud of how thoughtful he is towards my parents (made sure to text them to let them know we got home safely after a 6 hour road trip that started at 9 pm).  I’m proud of him in general!!  🙂

So we were in an accident on Thanksgiving, where we were hit by a deep sea fishing boat. Well long story short, in the corse of the accident besides $1500.00 of body damage, my oil pump was damaged and my engine siezed. Unfortunelty my insurance wouldn’t cover the oil pump and engine, but they did cover the body damaage.  So here is where I love my Fiance… after suffering all last week with the flu, he spent all day Saturday and Sunday at two different car dealerships (since I am now carless and the car is not worth enough to replace the engine).  Then, he called his cousin who is a dealer in Vermont, and is flying to Vermont on Saturday to drive my new to me/used car back to Virginia.  I love him so much that he is doing this!!  What a guy.

I am so proud of my Fiance for going back to get his PhD while working TWO full-time jobs (thankfully they kind of overlap). He is doing this so that he can quit the job that requires travel every weekend so that he can be a hands on father when we have kids. He is such an awesome man and a great father to his sons.

*My FI is more like a dad to my son than his bio dad.  Over the last two years, he’s shown such love and caring and it is just amazing to see his capacity to love a child so much that’s not his by birth.  It makes me proud to know I’m going to be his wife.

*Recently, we found out my grandmother had to be placed on hospice.  She’s really, really sick and cannot even stand right now.  She and my grandpa practically raised my sister and I and it’s been something that’s hurt me so badly inside..knowing I couldn’t 1)have them at our wedding b/c of her illness and 2) not be able to celebrate their anniversary with the whole family (their 70th was last august and when we get married, it’s the day before their 71st anniversary).  So without any discussion, T came up with an idea to get a live video feed done from our wedding to my grandparents at their house and we’ll also have a special reception dinner delivered to them that night so they can “be” there and we’ll be able to talk to them too.  It will mean the world to them and we’ll have everybody toast them too!

Great stories!

Every time the holidays come around, I am reminded of how generous my guy is, he just wants everyone to be happy and have a good holiday, even strangers.  I also love it when I go into his work (vet) and see him helping an animal and their owner.  I get goosebumps.

The most recent one I love- he went to the post office with me on Sunday to mail almost all of our invites (the last 2 weeks I have been up past midnight working on them after work, only 9 left to go out!!).  He told me on the way home “Thanks, I couldn’t get married without you”.  I’m still cracking up over that one.

Mr. KM is working 6 days a week and not having total breakdowns every day like I would. That’s amazing and I’m so proud of him for being so strong. He also has the patience to deal with my crazy butt, and love me for it and despite my insanity.

Mr. Love (what else do I call him? hehe) has maintained straight A’s throughout his four years here, has been a TA, completed about 8 major research projects (like the kind that get published… not my dinky “i’m doing this the two weeks before” crap) and he brews his own beer, has learned three instruments in the last 5 years, got into an exclusive research program and will get into all of the grad schools to which he is applying because he’s done so much!

I’m so proud that he accomplishes everything he wants, but tries so hard to make the choices that are best for us. He is so selfless in trying so hard to make our lives better, and I tell him all the time how much I love and appreciate him… I never feel like it’s enough though!

Also… some of these stories truly made me happy and made me cry… your men are all so sweet. How wonderful for all of us!

My husband is out of town this week and he has called me both yesterday and today!  It’s amazing!
