I was June 2012 so I have a lot of stuff done now. I’m slowing down because I don’t want to have everything done in a month with nothing to do for 12 months.

I have nothing done except my wedding invite design, but then again I’m not technically engaged yet lol. Plus it helps that I’m a Graphic Designer lol

We booked our dj on Monday, and have our reception venue “penciled in”. Reservations for our ceremony site don’t open until Nov. and I’m a little worried about that.

I’ve got a narrowed down list for all the other vendors, but haven’t made any final decisions yet. Sill ironing out the budget.

I have drafts of the invitation suite/stds too.

We have our venue, photographer, colors, we are still deciding if we want to marry in church or not. We have also picked out and contacted our Etsy invite graphic designer.

I’ve picked a color scheme?  lol.  I know I need to step it up – the fiance and I are finally able to rent a car and meet with venues this weekend (our ceremony and reception will be at the same location), so hopefully I’ll be able to check those two off soon!

We have a date, the color of my dress, a general idea of Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses, a general idea of Bridesmaid or Best Man gifts (50% done), and I’m starting my STD’s (maybe). And my sister is doing our e-pics in a few months (Nov/Dec pearhaps). We really don’t care where we get married or reception…we may just elope…I really don’t care about anything else at this point…oh wait…we’re also getting our flowers from the farmer’s market…that’s all.

I’ve purchased my gown and book the reception and cermony venues… oh and my mom has purchased her dress too.  Other than that, we have a date, a guest list, a budget, the colour scheme, and have chosen the wedding party and have narrowed down our choices for the photographer and DJ.

I am SO happy – we found a venue!  It includes food, drink, all chairs/tables/dishes/etc, ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and a cake!  I feel like we just knocked a lot of things out with one fell swoop 🙂

In bigger cities I feel like you have to get so much done early!!! I have everyone I need booked (minus cake people) because churches and all venues here book up over a year in advance! I got engaged last September too.

My venue provides most of the stuff I would need to plan so that is a plus! But I already have my dress and I kinda feel like I got it too soon. I just want to wear it already.

We are having both our wedding and ceremony in my Grandma’s yard, so that didn’t take much effort in organizing! I’m not much of a planner but I really should get started!

Nothing.  Absolutely nothing.  FI is starting to lean into me as to what we’re doing, and of course EVERYONE wants to know, but I have no clue, haven’t thought about it, and don’t really care.  We don’t even have a date, just a month.

I could go probably on for days about how this whole process is actually quite upsetting. 🙁  And really, I’m just being whiny about it, because clearly it could be much worse, and I’m sure for many people it is.

Ok, so I was wrong about absolutely nothing:  we’re having fried oreos.
