I bought decorations, decided on a date, bought a dress, gathered info from my priest all without a ring.  i felt like a total crazy person but he told me it was coming and did all of those things with his blessing.

I want to do more to plan, but I am kind of superstitious and think it will jinx things.  Totally ridiculous, I know!!  Like doing a little planning can “jinx” a 6 year relationship… hah.

About the closest thing I’ve come to planning is making some Etsy treasuries with ideas I like and looking at venues online.  Nothing “planned” per se.

Boyfriend or Best Friend is in on all the planning, so we have our centerpieces agreed upon. He had a request for the honeymoon, so we will be doing that, and he wants cookies instead of cake, so he will get a groom cookie tower that looks like a cake. Because damnit man, I want me some cake!

We have a city location (my hometown) and have started looking at venues, but nothing is solidly bought or paid for.

I have many magazines and tons of bookmarked stuff. No worries on jinxing it. We all do it! 😀

I don’t consider myself to be “officially” waiting, not yet (we’re both still in school and Adenine wants to finish teacher’s college before getting engaged, though I know it’s coming) so I’m really just having fun on weddingbee for now… (I love weddings, I’d be a wedding planner in another life Smile)

…but I do have my date picked out! Wink I’m determined to get married on 3.14.15 because I am a dork (luckily, so is Adenine). He is aware of this and is on board, so I don’t feel too bad.

I consider myself to be in the “waiting” period for about 6 months now. I have done all the same things you have…stalked wedding bee, theknot.com, venues online, dress shopped online AND even created an excel spreadsheet with all vendor info I’m intersted in using. Too far? Oops! LOL It doesnt help that my sister is getting married in 2 months and I’m her MOD…so I’ve been looking at stuff with her for a while. So anytime she wants me to check something out…I give her my opinion, then find myself on the website for an additional 1-2 hours looking for myself. haha I’ve officially consider myself obsessed…and becoming more and more impatient waiting for my bf to propose!

My Boyfriend or Best Friend considers us engaged and gave me the go ahead for all the planning, he says he is only waiting to propose because he wants it to be perfect and wants to do it when I least expect it.  We have seriously talked about our future together but I’m still waiting for a ring to “seal the deal”.

He is totally on board with the Pre-Engagement planning, so far we have decided on the date (May 19, 2012), the venue (Palacete Los Morau, Moca, Puerto Rico), the photographer, the guestlist,  the honeymoon (3 week European Tour) and the reception (Brunch reception). We have also decided on a detailed budget and have very recently opened up a joint bank account to manage the budget. Even though we have selected what I call the “skeleton” of our wedding, we have yet to officially buy or book anything. I refuse to officially book anything until I have a ring because I’m afraid my family/vendors wont take us seriously!

Waiting is horrible… I I just wanna get it over with so I can start calling him my fiance!

I don’t think you’re crazy (: I find that planning makes the waiting easier. I haven’t done anything set in stone yet. I have lots of inspiration folders. made some random signs, and I’ve written our ceremony. The things I do change a little over time, but it definitely keeps my mind off waiting.

The only thing that I’ve given serious thought to is the bridal party, which will be my BFF as Maid/Matron of Honor and his two sisters as BMs.
