hey month buddie, we are Sept. 3rd, we have put the deposit down on the venue, set up the church (pre-cana, met with the priest twice, but haven’t paid any fees yet), I am going to make a flower appt. this week (hopefully), I have my dress, veil and headpiece and have sent out our save the dates 🙂  Still in the process of interviewing photographers and videographers and DJ’s.  Hope this helps, I also am interested in what other Sept. brides have done so far as well.

We are getting married the same day as you!  We have:  booked the ceremony cite, booked the reception site, lined up the officiant, taken the online marital counseling course required by our pastor, booked the photographer, decided on invitation design (I’m DIY-ing them this month), decided on the STD design (also a DIY this month), decided on bridesmaid dresses – though they are not ordered yet, bought THE DRESS (it isn’t in yet!I can’t wait!), and many other smaller details.  We have appointments to meet with cake bakers – yum! – and florists over Christmas.

Part of me feels that we have done a lot, and part of me feels like I am running out of time already!  We are planning long-distance though, so I’ve been trying to knock things off of the to-do list every time I go home to Wisconsin (we are in Colorado), so some things are getting done really early.

Good luck with your planning!

I (think) I’m ahead of the game. I’ve got the dress (it’s at the bridal salon, just waiting for the day), my shoes and my accessories. My mom and I are going to try to make a DIY veil this winter. That way, if we fail, we have time to order one.

The bridesmaid dresses are ordered and the tuxes are selected. We have our officiant, ceremony/reception location, photographer, florist and cake baker. Website is up and running, we’ve started our registries, I’ve made the card box and the Save-The-Date Cards (to send in a few weeks), gotten the wedding night hotel room, booked a salon for hair/makeup and getting ready to finalize the honeymoon (we won’t be taking that until December 2010).

I think all that’s left is making the invites and various other DIYs, and booking the DJ.

Wooohoo we are date twins!! We are having a destination wedding in the Dominican Republic so my planning has been a tad different but for the most part on the same page as most of you. We booked the resort and venue for our at home reception, photographer booked, bought my dress, bought STD’s but waiting to send those out, picked out bridesmaid dresses, and invitiations (well picked them out but haven’t bought them yet), put deposit down on trip.

8 more months ladies!! yaya!

We’re Sunday the 5th!! So far we’ve booked the venue (cake is incl.), church, photographer, my ring & the chocolate fountains. I love the florist (we have centerpieces but he said I have to get Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses before we talk bouquets) The website is up thanks to Fiance cuz I kinda hate them. We started a small registry but have to build on it. We sent STD’s in lieu of Christmas cards (SO glad we did – saved big bucks in stamps!)

I have shoes that I bought for a Bridesmaid or Best Man dress thinking I can dye them but I can’t – so I’ll use them for mine. I think I have a dress – there’s 2 I’m still going back & forth between & can’t decide (I’ll eventually post the ever popular – “help me pick a dress” post but I wanna get pics of me in them 1st). The bridal salon I like best throws in the veil so that’s cool.
