Just curious if anyone has taken up a hobby/interest they wouldn’t normally try/ do because their SO love it. My Fiance is addicted to Formula 1 I have never really watched before him ( I do like cars though). Now I find myself looking forward to watching the races with him.

I now watch and follow FIFA professional soccer- my husband has gone to the last 3 World Cups! I got him into gardening and plants in general. He bought me a lemon tree for valentine’s day and he is so into that thing.

I’ve taken up road cycling, because he does it. Great form of exercise! Little nervous about the clips, but I’m getting over it.
molokoa–my boyfriend absolutely loves soccer. He watches it all the time, though he’s more into the MLA than european soccer.

Football and baseball! He’s currently trying to get me to take up golf…uhhhh I think that’s crossing a line lol

I can’t think of anything – most of his hobbies involve killing animals (hunting, fishing) and I’m a vegetarian who is an animal rescuer.
I will say that, to turn the tables, I have convinced him to volunteer at the animal shelter where I volunteer. Though I stick with dogs, he’s there to help with the livestock…that’s more his speed. 😉

Scuba Diving. I had never even been in the ocean past my knees before I met my husband. He took me to Hawaii for our first vacation and I fell in love with snorkeling. We decided to get certified together after that trip and it’s a great hobby of ours.
I also experimented with sailing, boxing, and spear fishing but didn’t enjoy those hobbies as much as he does.

MMA! I started watching UFC cards within a month of our relationship, and now I update him with MMA news as much as he updates me! He trained MMA when we first started dating, but stopped about 6 months into our relationship when he went back to school. At the beginning of this year, he started back with his MMA classes, and I started taking kickboxing at the same gym. It’s fun. We’ll make whole evenings out of UFC, Bellator, or WSOF events and practicing kickboxing using focus mitts 🙂

I became a NY Yankee fan because of Darling Husband. But together we have always loved soccer. My dad is a Newcastle United fan and has always watched the European games. He coached my brother’s teams as well. Darling Husband played in high school. Son#1 has played since he was 5 and loves it. He’s always asking if there are games on.
Darling Husband likes to help garden with me. I have a family reputation to uphold. My great grandfather was a master gardener for an estate. My grandmother loves to garden. My Mom has an amazing garden, one reason we got married in their backyard. Mine needs work but it’s getting there.

I watch football, and go backpacking now. I used to HATE football, and you definitely wouldn’t see me doing anything physical (especially without a shower involved) before him!
